POINT ALLOCATION CRITERIA ***Final Version***
1. I took same point sequence as the ATP uses for its MAJOR Tournaments. This is: 10-45-90-180-360-720-1200-2000
2. I match this sequence to number of wins that any coach had in any given official FUMBBL Tournament throughout 2013. As i only keep track of teams winning at least 2 games in a given tournament, this works out like this: 2w-10 points//3w-45 points//4w-90 points//5w-180 points//6w-360 points//7w-720 points//8w-1200 points//9w-2000 points
3. I allocate a fix 10 point bonus to any team that gets 2 wins or more in a Major tournament
4. I allocate a fix bonus to teams winning a title. It goes like that: 2 Rnd title=5 pts//3 Rnd title=9 pts//
4 Rnd title=18 pts//5 Rnd title=36 pts//6 Rnd title=36 pts//7 Rnd title=36 pts//8 Rnd title=36 pts// 9 Rnd title=30 pts.
5. FUMBBL CUP WINNER will have and extra BONUS of 190 points
6. XFL/FUMBBL MINORS/BLACK BOX MINORS will be considered MINOR SERIES. 5 points bonus will be allocated to coaches/teams winning a title or getting at least to a 5th Round (loss).
7. All Majors counted
8. Best 10 Minors (both Series or standard) results counted
9. Only tournaments that FINISH within the calendar year will be counted for that particular year Rankings.

Heya, you know, I'm a complete n00b when it comes to things like how websites work or how data can be accessed, but some sort of datamining is being done for these toplists, right? Because there have been a lot of stats done for tourney and Major performance by race, but one figure has always been missing from those, which was the number of entries.
For Majors for example, it would be really cool to see stats like Top 8 / Finalists / Winners per team entered of that race, or simply wins vs. losses. If those figures are available. I thought it couldn't hurt asking.  |

It is not accessible the way i have set my datebase up.
However you can work out all this info by checking the point allocation criteria. the way i allocate points it tells you what round a coach got to in any given Official tournament, major or minor.This ranking tries to mimic ATP Tennis rankings where points are allocated depending on how far you get in a given tourney.

You are doing a great job with the rankings sonrises.
Taking a look around at the tournament scene in both ranked and box I think you rankings have really increased the participation rate especially in the minors like the brawl, Smacks and RRR.
Most guys say they dont care about rankings but deep down everybody likes to take a peek and see were they stand.

I was looking at the point rankings and so forth and it seems the best bang for your torunament buck is in the RRR. Maybe that is why they seem to be flying left and right now a days. I can remember not that long ago a RRR only went off like every other month or so, not anymore.
Also the levels of SSmacked at the mid to lower ranges seem to be filling up now also.  
Also going deep in major never hurts the rankings either |

You right this is why i introduce these last changes to water down a bit RRR and increase THE VALUE OF MINOR SERIES AND LONG RUNS IN MAJORS. |
