I've seen some match reports that have both coaches having a bribe inducement. Is that what shows up when there is a Get the Ref kick off result? Or is it something pre agreed upon by the two coaches to each take a bribe? The former seems more logical, but the latter sounds just strange enough to be true...

The latter would be illegal, unless both coaches decided to do it independently.

Well that makes all the sense in the world. Kinda ruins my perceived conception that everyone else is out to get me.

I could see it. The favorite induces a Bribe from Petty Cash, then the underdog takes one too. Not that weird... but probably not what happened in any given case. Was probably a Get the Ref.

But two coaches agreeing in advance to each take a Bribe would be against the rules in Box or Ranked (and most leagues). There are exceptions in League, like WApos in NBFL builder games, where money doesn't matter but triple-pows and thrown rocks happen, so the building team will induce a WApo and the builder team needs bodies so they take two. But that's a special case.
