The draw has been made and the season is underway.
We have a first round Lambhurly Shield Challenge.
Ashenhall Owls hold the Shield after beating last season's champions in the final round of the regular season. Last time the Owls had the Shield they kept it for an impressive 6 defences. Is this the start of a new reign? Or will an Ogre team lift it for the first time?

RIP Earl of Lemongrab DIBBL's (and my) first ever Legend. Killed by an immigrant wizard lightning bolt in the first game of the new season. Unacceptable indeed. |

Canterbury saw off the Auckland Ogre attack. It seems the Ogres thought that safe competition points were more important than the mighty Shield - I think they may have been out of the country too long
Next up, Auckland has another crack. Their homeboy Ogres may have helped out the challenger with 3 MNG Wood Elves. However, in the defenders favour, they are flings, and it is Auckland.

690TV in dead or SI players, what a brutal game. Insane and so many unconventional moves and turns, had chances, even deep into the second half but alas for nought. That was a game that was truly worthy of being called a shield game, I hope all who witnessed it enjoyed it. |

DIBBL's 3rd Legend, Flame Princess.
Unlike her teammate Lemongrab (RIP), Flame Princess earned more spp from Cas (43) than from TDs (24). The main hitter of the team we all hope she doesn't get hit as fast as the 1st Legend was.
I hear DIBBL's wannabe 4th Legend, Murg, will be in action in a much anticipated Shield challenge 8am nzt Saturday morning. |

Poor Ko Chikan, you're just a bully, ramchop. Also, I now fear the unbeatable chorfs will be back in due course, just so they can kill all your vampires, and my Zons will end up in the way.  |

In what can only be described as one for my history books i finally beat dustbunny to retain the shield....
A solid 3-0 WIN sees me also hold the shield for more than one game
