Hello Coaches,

I remember there existed a very old Spike Home Rule for using referee miniatures in tabletop. You could actually block and blitz the ref (making fouls safe).
There was somewhere in the web a page with an archive of such rules (even on image/pdf format?) but can't find it.
Only a "new" version where you put a Gobbo or Ling ref on the sideline.
Does anyone know where to look?

Would like to use some whacko rules it in a private game next week.

(PS: Also there existed a rule with a ball that was alive and could run away)

I think it was available in a specialist games fanatic magazine. I think Google will find it if you search that

Edit - The article I was referring to is called stars in stripes which will help your search. Though I think you're referring to a different one. I'll check out the bb mags later.

2nd edition, I think. So really, really old. Back when kickers were a thing and pogo sticks had just been invented...

Citadel journal 1997 was the source. It was a re-write of this article - http://bbowl.pendragonknights.co.uk/refs.html

MrCrushtie, yeah it was from the good old goofy times Very Happy.
Thanks Garion,
that re-write reads very much like I remember it but also changed and added quite a lot from the Stars In Stripes article magazine (found it).
If my memory serves me right though there was also a special rule on how to move the ref. Based on those two links I seem not to be sure how that's supposed to happen (a 3rd coach for the ref? move on free will?)
