Hey everyone!
I'm starting a league up at the beginning of April that is a bit different. I am aiming to get 8 players so I can focus on commissioner activities instead. We are currently at 2 committed, so I have some recruiting to do!
League Concept Pitch:
If you have ever wanted to send GW a really cool roster idea so you posted in a forum and everyone flamed you for making it crazy overpowered, then this is the league for you!
Some details on how it works:
In the Point Economy Blood Bowl League (PEBBL) you build your positionals in a google document using a DnD style point-buy system where each point equates to 10k of player value. Every stat increase has a progressive costing system and each skill is placed into a category by its power level. The better skills like Block and Guard will cost more to start your positional with than Running Pass!
Once you have your roster made, just ping me and I will translate your vision into a fully playable FUMBBL roster.
How good that team is entirely up to your own creativity.
Plan for Season 1:
The season is scheduled to kick off starting 1 April. Rounds will be 2 weeks long and scheduled in discord. Prior to kick off, players are able to do test matches and tweak their rosters until roster lock on 31 March. The season will progress like a normal league with 2 divisions of 4. Everyone will play each other once and then play their division opponents a second time for a total of 10 games. Top 2 in each division make playoffs for a single elimination bracket.
Offseason:
After the "PEBBL Bowl" is complete, a 2 week offseason kicks off. A coach may then choose to fire every player in any position they want in order to change that base stat/skill block of the positional. Kind of like picking a new team, but by only swapping out what wasn't working! The redraft will continue per the rulebook at 1350TV but without a treasury to consider to incentivize less full positional swapping. Star players will also be selected based off criteria and given Star Player skills. For example the League MVP gains Consummate Professional, Loner 4+ and 10% cost increase. I will also be assessing balance in the off-season and put them to popular vote.
Other "house" rules:
Skill progression is 2016 ruleset
Unused apothecaries can be used to remove MNG from a player after game is concluded.

I'm sending links in PM's because I don't have the bot set up quite yet to help with navigation, so I'm sending it personally so I can be online as people join and direct traffic |
