As the header says.

I have a GR usee for stopping the ball carrier, and he just got his secons skill.

Would you go dauntless or strip ball?

Pros:
Dauntless - make it a 1 die instead
Strip ball - helps getting the ball loose on more results and keeps my GR on his feet.

might depend how big your team is in terms of TV.....because if they are going to play a significant amount of other reasonably developed teams then Sure Hands will be common.

Good point!

No all the teams in this league is pretty new, 5-6 games and most teams wont be more than 10 teams old.

Mostly bashers and the occationally elven team.

I think dauntless has other applications and will come in handy far more often. Many games SB won’t be used at all.

strip ball and wrestle gives you amazing odds of spilling the ball. Dauntless not so much

I voted Strip Ball. And I would chose it myself: https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=14486329 like Maznaz said - great odds of a spill - for that big-play defensive turn.

Mine is an Underworld GR so took Horns for +ST (over Dauntless). And Block (over Wrestle) as it has to Carry as well as Sack. Like you say Wrestle is also a Fouling risk.

I guess yours is a Skaven GR, so a specialised Wrestler makes perfect sense.

Dauntless. Strip Ball is countered by Sure Hands.
Dauntless is almost as good as +ST and +ST is the most expensive stat, therefore Dauntless has more value than Strip Ball.
Dauntless is used more often than Strip Ball.

Well in the end you need both Smile but strip ball+wrestle is a combo that is just too good... >90% chance to pop the ball free even on a -2d block. Yes it doesn't work with sure hands so also look at the other teams in your league (are there many orcs, dwarves, humans, skaven, etc? then strip ball doesn't have value. Are there many chaos, chaos dwarves, etc.? then strip ball is great) On other gutters you can also take block+dauntless

After Wrestle and Dauntless Tackle is better than Strip Ball.
More useful and less situational.
Also, Chaos, Chaos Dwarfs and other bash teams, even if they don't have Sure Hands, most of times protect their ball carriers with a cage.

yeah ball carrier sacking is often either in turn 1 or 2 (before there is a cage) or turn 7 or 8 (dodge in on a 5+ with 45% chance of success)

Strip Ball forces your opponent to change the game plan if he / she doesn't have Sure Hands. It's a massive threat that has a real strategic impact even if you don't actually go for the sack. But, as said, if your opponent has Sure Hands it's practically pointless. Very hit or miss, but if there isn't much Sure Hands I'd go for it

in this case it was an early stage team environment which means there are fewer sure hands to worry about. mattdakka is right that it becomes less valuable the more of that there is though.

Dauntless then Tackle

Dauntless can be used offensively as well to get out into the clear or thru/past an opposing player. Tackle then stops dodge ball carriers as well and not only does the ball spill, you get an AV roll on a Pow/Dodge result.

If it's a low TV Skaven team I usually go with two gutters with block and two with wrestle and put strip ball on those wrestlers.
