There was not much excitement in the lead up to the challenge in the Shocker’s camp due to the fact the dopey coach had not caught on to the fact the shield was on the line.
Win or lose they would retain the same position on the points table so there was no pressure.
The Oldheim Ironguts won the coin toss and elected to kick, Manuel failed to pick up the ball, it bounced out and was thrown back nearly to our in goal .
He went back to recover and carried it up the right flank to hand off to Mr Jones who put the pedal down and moved to within striking distance. The Ironguts got players around him, he panicked and went down to Gnoble the Gnoblar and the ball went loose only to be picked up once more by Mr Jones who again got in the open but his support failed him and he was knocked over for a second time. Gnoble grabbed the ball but it goes loose again when he is blitzed. An Ogre recovers the pill but it’s too late now for anyone to score this half so instead the Ogres go to town on the rats with injuries galore.
Second half, The Shocker’s are down to nine players and kicking, not looking flash, but then Bomber Dribblesnot playing for The Ironguts blows himself up plus a large proportion of his team, it even’s things up a bit.
When an Ogre suffers bonehead it leaves a gap in the Ironguts cage for Danko to sneak through and blitz the ball carrier, they both go down with wrestle and a Merc Blitzer pounces on the ball, he’s in the clear with only a Ogre and Gnoblar in range, surly this time! But no, Drogrut the Ogre has other ideas, he recovers from bonehead, dodger’s out of a tackle zone, goes for it and sits the blitzer on his ass.
The Ironguts hands let them down and the ball remains on the ground, a blitzer leaps to his feet (or paws) gives a nearby Gnoblar a clip under the ear leaving space for Danko to grab the ball in a tackle zone and go for it twice to score.
Halfway through the second half and finally a TD!
Now down to eight players, that is quickly reduced to six and then five, The Ironguts slowly work the ball up field but on their last turn a handover goes wrong and The Shocker’s take the win.
Well played Sandune, but Dribblesnot was a dickhead and there was a few boneheads at the wrong times for you.
Look forward to the next one.

Perfect Blood Bowl weather was the soup du jour for the most recent Lambhurly Shield match pitching the Chaos Dwarfs of 'Mi No Here Right Now' against it's holders, the Necromantic Horrors 'Nightmare on Nottingham Street', but anyone watching might have thought all the Chaos Dwarfs had cooked up was a pot of good luck with a 2-0 victory.

Winning the toss, and giving away a wizard as well as a guest appearance from Bryce 'the slice' Cambuel to the Horrors, the Chorfs elected to receive the kickoff in an attempt to minimize Bryce's match time. And minimize they did. Two failed regeneration's from the LOS zombies meant that Bryce would need some luck of his own to stay on the pitch.

Wary of the wizard still in play the Chorfs loosely meandered up the pitch, knocking out a ghoul on the way, until the Horrors decided it was finally time to cast a spell. Fireballing adjacent to the ball carrier resulted in a couple of mediocre knock downs but opened up a sacking opportunity for Spooky Blanket that saw the wolves crowd in to make things difficult. The Chorfs replied with some crowding of their own sending Snoop Dog off into his fan's safe hands. Boo fans... no soup for you! A couple of knock outs and a ball recovery later saw the Chorfs score on turn 8.

The Horrors had a reply for their turn 8, yes indeed, with Bryce finally forced to make an appearance and a hobgoblin on the LOS the kickoff result was a free Bribe for both teams. Le gasp! Poor Wrenchy was visibly sweating as Bryce tried to saw her in half only for the blades to glance off of her ragged uniform and not reveal her perfectly formed hobgoblin bresticles. Wrenchy was promptly stunned next block and then unjustly set upon by the Horrors dirty player. The referee was having none of it and the Horrors saw fit to use their bribe on the dirty player not Bryce before finally finishing with a flourish and vanity passing to the fouling zombie.

The early second half saw a sideline play from the Horrors to try and outrun the Chorfs in an attempt for an equalizer. To the Horrors own horror they were subjected to some more interaction with the crowd, this time from the Chorf fans on the ball carrier, leaving Graveshuffler living up to his name and gaining a niggle. The Chorfs recovered and finished up with some flourish also, vanity passing to their own dirty player who went on to score the second touchdown.

When asked after the match if her LOS performance was why she's such a pro Wrenchy replied,
"Nahh, Itz coz i aint silly enuff to ask Hino where e iz! hehehehehe".

*Thanks for the game mate. Still tricky in places but the dice were with me there.
