BCL Game of the Week

Week 1

Snorri Ironhill reporting from the BCL citadel. We are used to seeing Orcs take the pitch, the only good thing about that is seeing my folk steam ‘em flatter than a river’s stone indeed. It was a sight worth seeing with those sharkmen of Stromfels get into a proper frenzy on those green skins. The Orcs knew the fundamentals of the sport such as scoring a touchdown. It seemed to me that the sharkmen were treating the sport as a dine and dash. We have received word that this behavior is in fact promoted by the BCL and emperor Karl Franz the first seems to enjoy the sport too much to regulate it for the elves and folks that frankly should not be playing the sport-pixie types I mean. Without the blood it would just be an empty bowl, now wouldn’t it? Rally ho, enjoy this cabal vision replay with your clan’n kin.

Week 2

Aenor Brigsby reporting from the pitch, where we have just witnessed a match fit for a feast and a fiddle. Ogre brutality is a fan favorite, but dwarves are said to be compact giants in their own right. The BCL recruited these dwarves from the edge of the world, it would be more accurate to call them Norse Dwarves due to their berserk blitzing tendencies. We rarely get to see these two teams play, due to them being on different continents. However, the BCL likes to recruit teams locally and abroad, if not those loans from Middenland Bank would put the BCL into quite a pickle, like a pickled herring sandwhich left out in the sun all day. I will warn viewers that there is quite a lot of violence in this match. Why not have a second breakfast while watching this replay folks!

Week 3

Snorri Ironhill back from administrative leave I be. I took the time to learn about squig herding and orc guided being the biggest leadership courses. We can all agree that elves have got faces in a twist like that sat on a twig pardon my high elf. The undead shambled in full array and the game ended with the elves getting in a cheap shot. A closely contested match throughout with emotions running high. The undead martialed up the field in control of the match but the game ended with a late surge by the elves. I’m getting word that I am being sidelined again by head office, well lads enjoy this replay for me eh?

Week 4

A tough fought match, tough fought, tough fought. Pips Fromage reporting in the place of Snorri Ironhill. Snotlings and ogres have been dominating league good fun, good fun, good fun. Bones were being smashed onfield in a fiercely fought contest. BCL teams scouted into league through planar portal, planar portal, planar portal. A stuntman fan’s favorite kind of match. Watch the match again, again, again.

Week 5

Ahoy ho sports fans Snorri Ironhill is back in the biz but you won’t be seeing that scurvy ridden rat back on the airwaves, the BCL all but begged me they did after they benched me again this time over elves. Oh, maybe I am not permitted to talk about behind the scenes info. You know I have a lot to say about these Moulder stink rats and the lil' snotty buggers, but I right learned my lesson ye all hear. Least when it comes to being polite’n right minded according to the gobbers in charge of me. Well, any hidey ho, this was a fun one. It was more than a cloud of dust this time I will tell you what. A great game to replay next to a hearth.

Week 6

Aenor Brigsby reporting the most exciting game yet between the deadly professional Civil Serpents and the swarming sharks of Bloodfin’s Grief. As a gourmand you have got to respect the Stromfels hunger to dominate the pitch. However, styles make chefs and bloodbowl matches. The Civil Serpents’ finesse kept the sharks at bay. Although, these landsharks were more ravenous than a distant cousin at a housewarming potluck. Why not get reacquainted with that perhaps unrelated fellow with a meal while wiling away the hours watching this amazing match. Have fun with this one, quite possibly the game of the year.

Week 7

Aenor Brigsby reporting, in this league tie breakers are determined by point and CAS differential, apparently the league office promotes more blood in Blood Bowl. Although this game ended in a tie the casualty differential gave one team an edge for positioning if we have to go beyond wins, draws and losses, a similar system is observed in halfling pie eating contests. This must be the bloodiest game in league history and the fans could not be happier. We will see both of these teams in the playoffs, hopefully with another classic encounter. The field was splattered like lasagna on the kitchen floor, a macabre spectacle indeed. Apparently, security could not stop the crowd from collecting trophies from the fallen players, it really speaks to the passion of a BloodBowl spectator. This is a match to remember folks, this may be the game of the year.
