Demo video of Blackbox 2.0, very rough but hopefully gives a good idea of how it will work in general.

Feedback is welcome (but remember its not had any polishing done yet).
Doesn't include ability to specify whether your team is Strict/Open/"Gamefinder only" yet (not sure if those are the exact correct terms), this will probably be added to the choose teams page. |

I'm pretty sure the timings will be the same as before (10 minutes paused, then 5 minutes to activate), but for the demo purposes its just a few seconds for each. |

Open: team can play both with Black Box and GF;
Gamefinder: team can play only with GF.
Right? If that's correct, I want to sign to Strict with all my teams from Competitive and old Box as soon as possible. |

Yes, that's how I understand it at least.
I'd guess that any team that has already played in Competitive (prior to launch of Blackbox) will only be able to choose Open or "Gamefinder only", but if you have a 0 game team or create a new team, they will be able to choose Strict mode. Better not rely on my word here though, need Christer. |

About the Open mode : can these teams face "strict" teams in the Box? Or only other "open" teams? |

It's not. People often have teams they don't want to enroll into the blackbox, and a typical coach who plays both will be able to "pre-configure" things and just activate with the box whenever to get the desired teams into the blackbox. |

Ok, to clarify the team "modes":
"Strict" - Only scheduled by the blackbox, and will not be visible in the normal gamefinder
"Mixed" - Both blackbox and gamefinder, will show in gamefinder and will be activated for the box
"Open" - Only gamefinder, will show in gamefinder but will not be activated in the box |

Will the teams currently in Competitive with more than 0 games able to join Strict?
Or are they forced to join Mixed?
As an aside, the Mixed is the best mode, unless you want to play in the Box Trophy.
I mean, why should I join the Strict if I can still face teams from GF?
If I'm Box-only I want to play exclusively vs Box-only teams.
Otherwise it's asymmetrical and unfair. |

Participating in the box trophy will force the team to remain strict, and the site will keep track of which teams have only played strict mode games and which ones have not.
This flag will not be used for blackbox pairing though, and "pure" strict teams will be paired against mixed mode teams. |

- I'm not interested in the Box Trophy;
- joining Strict doesn't prevent my teams from being matched vs GF teams (as I thought at first);
- GF mode is useless;
therefore
I will join Mixed mode. It's the most logical choice. |

The more teams the better.
Looks good, one-click and done most days is exactly right. Well, one click give or take for the teams being ready to play, and still in season, but that's good too, encourage some new ones to turn up, and redrafts to get finished.
Nice to have all the cool teams hidden, and if some horrific mixed team shows up I can see it plain as day in gamefinder anyway. But we all know the real horrors will be hiding in the box, just like forever.

Exactly why I would have loved Box mode only for Competitive and GF for League/not Competitive games.
All this modes just split up a ridiculous small userbase.

Not any worse than splitting the scheduler into it's own separate division. 
An advantage of splitting to a separate league/division though, would be that Open could have a different seasons implementation than the current proposed one.
The current one may seem OK for a scheduler/Trophy division but IMO isn't ideal for an Open division |
