Hi fumbbl fans!
I'm very happy to show you what I've always wanted to create: My favorite pixel art teams to play on the board.
The first attempts were 1mm pixel grids that I painted... pixel by pixel. I was very proud of the result, but unfortunately, many people who wanted to create their own were completely put off by the challenge. And I understand them...
I’ve been really excited by painting tons of 1mm pixel but I think I am more a weird boy than a normal one:p
So, I came back into my computer and started working on stickers to apply, allowing everyone to enjoy their favorite pixel art. Here's the result
How I did it:
I started by cutting out each figurine one by one on my screen, then imported picture into 3D design software in which I had previously created a sort of 1.18mm pixel grid (so that the figurine would ultimately measure 32mm). With a lot of patience, I then drew the outlines and created the volumes.
For the stickers, it was much more difficult because I learned everything about photoshop during this experience: I reworked the images in PS so as not to lose any quality due to their tiny size. Then I exported them to AI to vectorize so that a professional laser cutter could precisely cut out each miniature. I had to do a looooooot of tests to finally achieve a perfect result!
VERY IMPORTANT: To silence the most bitter and suspicious people, I don't care about any profit. If I wanted to get rich, I wouldn't spend my time making Blood Bowl teams...Moreover in pixel art. Few people have contacted me asking for a copy. Obviously, the costs of resin, printing, and cutting (by a professional), and of course, shipping, are not unrealistic, and while I'm super excited about the idea that others can play with Fumbbl teams, I can't afford to give these teams away. Imagine, for example, that a printed/cut sheet for two teams (there are already 19 different figures for the Woodies, or 36 in both colors) costs 70 euros at the printer. Therefore, if I offer these figures for sale, I simply want to cover my costs and be sure of the quality of what I'm sending you.
Someone even bothered me about intellectual property, and because I don't know the artist who created my favorite figures, I haven't been able to contact him. In fact, if he comes across here, I would be extremely honored to offer him a team!
Anyway, too bad for those with misguided ideas. My project is really intended for all fans of Fumbl, not for money lovers (they should go farm some bitcoins :p).
I'm completely available to discuss all of this.
See you soon.

Fantastic effort!
The only question I'd ask is if they are printed on both sides? If one was planning on using them then it would be a handy thing to be able to easily see on your side as well =D |

Thank you all!
I printed both blue and red (or other colors) in miror to put on each side of the resin miniature. Like that, I can turn my blues to identify reds as already played miniatures. The catcher I show in red and blue is the same miniature |

If you want to print some of the Secret League teams I've done (indicated in the team roster page) let me know. I'd like to see the end results =) I've yet to do a portfolio of them, but since some are still unreleased, I'm going to make one after they are released.
Edit: For Competitive I've made the Fire Breathers for Chaos Dwarves, feel free to use them for fun. |

If they are both blue and red, one does ponders the big question, what luck you have then ? Blue or Red one ? |

All i said in fb is if you had asked for permission to use someone elses designs. This was the second time of you selling the fumbbl art on facebook and hadnt seen any acknowledgement beyond saying that they were fumbbls.
I like the teams, i must be weird cos i just like when the right people get credit.
Also, doesnt take long to find who designed the fumbbl pixel art IF one is interested in giving acknowledgement |

Here is the page where you can find all the credits for the stuff you see on FUMBBL:
https://fumbbl.com/p/attribution
Maybe you can reach out to him and ask for the rights to use the icon and make profits with his work. You could even consider sharing the profits with the site — not a bad idea, right? |

Hey!
A lot lof people send me very kind messages to tell me they enjoy my work.
I send the stl and the illustration files to everyone wanna make the job by himself, and invit to make a donation to the website. But I cannot sending material stuff free, that’s why I ask for a compensation.
For the first wave I posted on social medias (few weeks ago), I wasn’t the forgesmith of the stuff, and the work on « grided » miniatures was and absolute hell. It wasn’t possible to propose it free. Now I learnt to make my own, I bought a printer, learnt to use photoshop and illustrator and decided to give virtual stuff to whom get the gently attitude.
Anyway, I am not a professionnal and my real job don’t allows me to make every teams myself.
So if someone is motivated I will share every step of the process to propose every teams!!!
It’ll be a great project for the fumbbl community to create a download zone with all the stuff, where people can get their own to craft. Who’se in with me?
Again, I feel I have to justify that I am not a capitalist thief, beacause everytimes that someone get an idea, there is someone to pick his white horse and declare the crusade of rights and morality. Yes! Im a pure ignorant and Yes! I didn’t sent a message to everyone, waiting for permission to craft miniatures, Yes! And then if you have to consider me as the origin of your traumatism, so condamn me come on. Do you feel better now? |
