Hi All -
The procedure for spectating games appears to have changed.
First now I have to download the game differently to before (and save to a specific place).
Then I cannot open the game directly (it says I cannot open because from an unidentified developer).
So I go to the saved file (for which I have to remember - e.g. write down - the precise file name - which is a bit of a pain as it contains a space).
When I find the file and try to open it, the FUMBBL server says "wrong password".
Any help/explanation would be welcome.
Earlier today, I was disconnected 16 times from a Blackbox game - very embarrassing (and unprecedented). I don't know if this is related. My location: New Zealand. |

I have had no problem.
Maybe it is because there has been an update in the Java and it takes a little time, but as I said, I had no problem. |

Make sure you are logged in on the site.
A change in the download behavior usually means something in your browser changed. Maybe an update? |

I normally always use Safari. This is now unable to connect to the site.
So I have been using Brave. This gets me to the site - but I am unable to spectate games as described above.
Re-booting PC and cold booting of internet modem/router makes no difference. |

Sound like a problem on your end. Consider walking into an Apple store and ask for help there. They exist for a reason. |

I think it is a wider problem with Safari at my end. Will get tech support. |

Thanks for your help, guys.
My tech support guy fixed the problem. It was caused by anti-virus package settings (!). I take partial credit in that I had asked him to look at the anti-virus settings first (a hunch - partly because I had exhausted other obvious avenues).
I can't afford to spend the time sorting these things myself - I am very slow at such things. |
