Buffs and Nerfs for teams... If I have missed any, please let me know
Amazons:
Buffs:
• Pa Improved by 1 for Blockers and Blitzers for free
• Dwarfs have lost Tackle on their Linemen (so have CDs, though this happened late 2020 edition)
• Break Tackle adds +2 to the roll for St4 players, which could be very powerful in the hands of a developed Blocker
• Dodge is now an elite skill so costs 30k on Primary or 40k on Secondary access, but Amazons got this built in and heavily discounted
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
Nerfs:
• They have no access to Dirty Player
• Undead start with 2 Tackle
• Humans start with 2 Tackle
• Dwarf Blitzers start with Tackle + Diving Tackle, though they’re now only 0-2
• OWA start with 1 Human Blitzer with Tackle and 1 Dwarf Blitzer with Tackle + Diving Tackle
Black Orcs:
Buffs:
• Goblins can get Dirty Player on a Primary

• Sneaky Git is much worse, and you’re likely better off getting multiple DPs rather than a couple of SG DPs

• Humans start with 2 Tackle
• Dwarf Blitzers start with Tackle + Diving Tackle, though they’re now only 0-2
• OWA start with 1 Human Blitzer with Tackle and 1 Dwarf Blitzer with Tackle + Diving Tackle
Bretonnian
New team, so just gonna list some pros and Cons
Pros:
• Wrestle Linemen and 2 Block Blitzers makes the team VERY reliable at rookie level
• Blitzers are very good reliable players, High Av, High Ma, and an Invulnerable save… They should do everything…
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players (assuming you take all 6 knights.. which I’m not sure is the best thing to do yet)
Cons:
• Av8+ linemen
• Throwers have Pa3+ and Ma 6 and an inflated cost due to skills they don’t need
• Catchers don’t have Block or Dodge and need both to make them useful which are both Elite skills so will cost 60k
• The team only has 2 S access players on primaries so will likely perform worse when facing more developed opposition
Chaos Chosen
Pros:
• Re-rolls are now 50k a 10k saving
• Beastmen are 55k a 5k saving, and gained Thick Skull for free
• Chosen get Arm bar for free
• Troll gets to Regen before apothecary roll
• Starting roster is more TV efficient
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
Cons:
• Beastmen have lost Primary S access
• Beastmen lost Primary DP
Chaos Dwarf
Buffs:
• Minotaur gained M access on Primary
• Stabbas are 10k cheaper
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
Nerfs:
• Hobgoblins only have Primary D access and G access is on Secondaries
• They’ve kept the nerfs that occurred at the end of 2020 edition
Chaos Renegades
Buffs
• Thrower has Sure Hands now instead of Safe Pair of Hands
• Dark Elf Lineman is 10k cheaper
• Primary D access to the whole team
• Goblin won’t be used as the fouler now, they will be saved for Throw Teammate
• You can Pass and Throw Teammate in the same turn
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
Nerfs
• Ogre does not have Mighty Blow… Though I assume this is a typo and will be corrected on day 1 FAQ - edit: this has been added. Ogre has MB again
Dark Elf
Buffs:
• Linemen are 65k
• Throwers got Punt for free, which is situationally useful
• Assassin got Hit and Run
• Assassin Blitzer and Witch Elf all got an improve Pa
• 6x MVP makes targets development much easier
Nerfs
• Blitzers are now 0-2
• Blitzers and Assassins price has increased
• Dp is now on a secondary
• Runner still only has Pa3+… not really a nerf, but still worth pointing out as bad
Dwarf
Buffs:
• Diving Tackle and Tackle added to Blitzers
• They have Bribery and Corruption
• Runner got Sprint for free and a price decrease
• Linemen start with Defensive
• Loner reduced on the Deathroller to a 4+ and Ma increased to 5
• Troll slayer gets Hatred which is useful again Trolls for what it’s worth…
• Brawlin’ Brutes makes gaining SPP much easier
• Primary Dp access on Dwarfs
• Deathroller gets +3 to Break Tackle
Nerfs:
• Linemen lost Tackle
• No A access on the team
• S access moved to Secondary on the Linemen
• Blitzers price has increased
• Blitzers Ag is worse
• Re-rolls price increased
Elf Union
Buffs:
• Throwers gain Hail Mary Pass for free. Though it still sucks
• Catchers gain Diving Catch for free. This functionally means your passing range is extended by 1 square
• Linemen get an improved Pa of 3+
Neither Buff nor nerf
• Linemen gained Fumblerooski, if this was free it would be a buff, but sadly the linemen cost more now
Nerf:
• Linemen are 65k which hurts Elf Union’s starting roster advantage over other elves. This is pretty significant
• They can only have 2 Catchers now, which is fairly limiting…
Gnome
Buffs:
• You can pass and TTM in the same turn, which makes OTT a bit more likely to succeed
Nerfs:
• DP is now on secondary access
• Currently they do not have Master Chef access as it is not properly keyworded in the rules. I think this will be FAQd
• There is more starting tackle out there, Undead Wights, Human Blitzers, Dwarf Blitzers, OWA…
Goblins
Buffs:
• Ooligan is cheaper, gets 5+Pa and gains the Taunt skill for free
• All the Goblins have primary D access which means Primary DP
• You can pass and TTM in the same turn, which makes OTT a bit more likely to succeed
• Doom Diver is better at OTT than before, firstly because they travel forward up to 6 squares which makes landing in range very likely now… though you could also travel too far forward and hit a player in the defensive line…. But such is the life of a goblin.
• Doom Diver also gains dodge and they can now perform Stunty Dodges, which were previously prohibited
• Loony (chainsaw player) can do Stunty Dodges through TZs, however they only have secondary A access, so getting Dodge is harder
• Trolls lost Loner
• Pogo has a better PA - 4+
• Currently they have access to Bomber Dribblesnot, who is yet again a bit broken… they may get made a mega star again in times…
• Apothecary works before Regen on the Trolls now
Nerfs:
• Doom Diver went up in cost
• Loony Gained No Ball (formally called No hands)
• Bombardier can now cause a turn over when hitting their own team mate
• Kickback on Chainsaw automatically causes a turnover, as they are always Knocked down, then the armour roll+3 is made
• There is more starting tackle out there, Undead Wights, Human Blitzers, Dwarf Blitzers, OWA…
Halflings
Buffs:
• You can pass and TTM in the same turn, which makes OTT a bit more likely to succeed
• Catcher Pa is now 4+
Nerfs:
• DP is now on secondary access
• There is more starting tackle out there, Undead Wights, Human Blitzers, Dwarf Blitzers, OWA…
High Elfs
Buffs:
• Linemen are 65k
• Linemen and Catchers have better Pa
Human
Buffs:
• Catcher has St3 now and improved Pa 4+
• Human Thrower is cheaper
• Team Captain special rule is very good
• Start with Tackle on their 2 Blitzers for free
• Ogre is now Loner 3+
• You can pass and TTM in the same turn, which makes OTT a bit more likely to succeed

Nerfs:
• They only have 2 Blitzers now
• They also only have 2 Catchers now

Imperial Nobility

Nerfs:
• Bodyguard Ma is reduced to 5

Khorne
Buffs:
• Blood Seekers Price is reduced by 5k
• Brawlin’ Brutes special rule makes SPP accumulation faster
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
• Khorngor gain Jump Up and Thick Skull for free
• St4 players can secure the Ball
Nerfs
• You can only have 2 Khorngor now
• You have no Primary DP
• Starting with no Elite Skills is now more costly
Lizardmen
Buffs:
• Juggernaut on the Saurus gives you very reliable blitzing, and once developed good crowd surfing threat!
• P access has moved to a primary on the Chameleon, this means you should be able to get Leader after 1 game
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
Nerfs:
• Saurus price has increased another 5k… this means your starting roster takes another hit…
• You can now only get Dp on secondaries, and Sneaky Git is a bit pointless now.. so SG DP skinks aren’t really going to be a thing anymore
• There is more starting tackle out there, Undead Wights, Human Blitzers, Dwarf Blitzers, OWA…
Necromantic
Buffs:
• Eye Gouge on the Zombies for free
• Zombies still get primary DP access in an addition where so many teams have lost it
• Ghouls gain Regeneration for free and get better Pa for free
• Wraiths price has been reduced to 10k…
• Flesh Golems price has been decreased by 5k
• Werewolves price has decreased 5k and have improved Pa
• Zombies and Flesh Golems have Pa stats now, which means they are not easy bomb targets
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
Nerfs:
• None… they are big winners!
Norse
Buffs:
• Ulf and Yhetee gain a Pa stat which makes them less of a bomb target
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
• Block is now an Elite skill, and starting with it on most of your team make them even more TV efficient than they already were
Nerfs:
• They have no DP access in the team
Nurgle
Buffs:
• Re-rolls are now 60k
• Bloaters gain Stand Firm for free
• Bloaters get a price decrease of 5k
• Pestigors gain Steady Footing and Thick Skull for free
• Pestigors gain a Price Decrease of 5k
• Rotters get primary Dp access
• Rotspawn gets pick Me Up, and gains a Pa stat which means they aren’t easy bomb targets
• Brawlin’ Brutes means getting SPP is faster
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
Nerfs:
• You only get 2 Pestigors,
• Rotters prices has increased to 40k??? why? This is a real shame…
Ogre
Buffs:
• Gnoblars gain primary DP access and improved Pa
• Brawlin’ Brutes means getting SPP is faster
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
• You can KTM, TTM and Pass in the same turn… so theoretically OTT is more likely
• Brick and Grotty seems a bit OP coz of their special rule…, expect to see them in every Ogre match until they’re nerfed, banned or Faqd
• Ogres can’t “Stall”
Nerfs:
• There is more starting tackle out there, Undead Wights, Human Blitzers, Dwarf Blitzers, OWA…
OWA
Buffs:
• Animosity and Loner has been removed from every player, including the Treeman (but not the ogre)
• Dwarf Blocker is now 0-3 and gained Block and Defensive and lost their old meme skills. These are now prefect for LoS duty
• Dwarf Blocker price is reduced by 5k
• Human thrower is 5k cheaper
• Dwarf runner is 5k cheaper and gained Sprint
• Human Blitzer is 5k cheaper and gained Tackle
• Human Catcher gains +st and improved Pa
• Dwarf Blitzer gained Tackle and Diving Tackle
• Troll Slayer gained Hatred Troll, and improved Pa
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
• You can now pass and TTM in the same turn
• Hit and Run access... makes OTT even easier
Nerfs:
• None, this team is one of the best in the game now…
• Okay… I guess they don’t have easy DP access…
Orc
Buffs:
• Animosity has been removed from all their players
• Brawlin’ Brutes makes the team quicker to skill up
• Team Captain is a very useful special rule, especially with the changes to other players
• Blitzers gain Break Tackle
• Their Goblins have Primary D access, which makes keeping one for DP and one for TTM in the team is very likely
• Thrower gains 1 Ma
• Blockers get Mighty Blow, Taunt, Thick skull
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
Nerfs:
• Thrower went up in price 10k
• Blitzer went up 5k
• Blocker went up 5k
• Blocker and Blitzer changed from 0-4 to 0-2
Shambling Undead
Buffs:
• Eye Gouge on the Zombies for free
• Zombies still get primary DP access in an addition where so many teams have lost it
• Ghouls gain Regeneration for free and get better Pa for free
• Wights gain Tackle and Thick Skull
• Mummies gain a Pa stat and so do Zombies, which prevents them being easy bomb target
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
Nerfs:
• Only 0-2 Ghouls now, and there is more starting tackle in the game
• Wights price increased to 95k
Skaven
Buffs:
• Skaven Thrower’s price decreased 5k
• Linemen get Primary DP
• Gutter Runners gain Stab
• Blitzer get better Pa and, Stripball and +1Ma for free
• Rat Ogre gains a Pa stat which means they aren’t such an easy bomb target
• Hit and Run access... makes OTT even easier
Nerfs:
• Gutters Runners are now 0-2
• There is more starting tackle around now which is a threat to the Gutter Runners
Snotlings
Buffs:
• Secret Weapon has been removed from the Pump Wagons for free
• Pump Wagon cost is reduced by 5k and Ma is improved by 1
• Trolls do not have Loner
• Bombers get Titchy
• Improved Pa all round, and Pump wagons gain a Pa stat which stops them being such an easy bomb target
• Primary D access on Snotlings, making them the cheapest DP in the game
• You can now pass and TTM in the same turn, which in theory makes TTM always possible
• Apothecary works before Regen on the Trolls now
Nerfs:
• Re-rolls are 10k more
• Insignificant means you cannot exploit star players as much as before
• There is more starting tackle around
Tomb Kings
Buffs:
• Re-rolls are 60k
• Thrower and Blitzer Price reduced by 5k each
• Throwers Av increased by 1
• Tomb Guardian gain a Pa stat which means they aren’t such easy bomb targets
• They gain Masters of Undeath so can raise Skeketons
• Tomb Guardians gain Brawler
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
Nerfs:
• Tomb Guardians price increased by 15k
Underworld Denizens
Buffs:
• Skaven Throwers price has been reduced
• Gutter Runner gains Stab
• Blitzer gains 1Ma, improved Pa and Strip Ball for free
• Goblin Linemen get primary DP
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
• Rat Ogre got a Pa stat making them less of an easy Bomb target
• Hit and Run access... makes OTT even easier
Nerfs:
• None, the team just got better, benefiting more from the Skaven changes than Skaven
Vampires
Buffs:
• Runner and Blitzer Pa got better for free
• Vargheist got a Pa stat which means they aren’t such an easy bomb target
• Masters of Undeath means they can get a mid game thrall
• Regeneration works before apothecary now… which is huge!
• Vampires cannot “Stall” , which is also huge!
• 6x MVP rule benefits this team as you can target only your best players
• Hit and Run access... makes OTT even easier
• Break Tackle access on St4 players, which means they can dodge on a 0+
Neither Buff nor Nerf
• Hypno just works on a 3+ now… this is better because you can just plop yourself in amongst TZs and 3+ a cage corner away, it removes defensive positioning options from your opponent, and it removes the problem of positioning your Hypno in such a way to get a 2+ that would get in your own way of moving into the cage. On the flip side it removed the 2+ hypno.. I actually think this could turn out to be a slight buff
Nerfs
• No DP access on thralls
Wood Elf
Buffs:
• Linemen, Catchers and Wardancers all got improved Pa
• Linemen price reduced to 65k
• Thrower Price Reduced to 85k and gain the Safe Pair of Hands skill for free
• Catchers gain Sprint again, for free
• Hit and Run access... makes OTT even easier
Nerfs:
• Wardancers price increased to 130k
• Catchers are only 0-2 now instead of 0-4 |

Tricky one to answer, as I think OWA are most improved but started really bad, Necro got a lot better and were already good, and Amazons didn't gain much but were already top of the pile. |

U missed the OWA catcher buffed to STR3 and PA4+
Vamp hypno 3+ is overall not a buff, although is more flexible... it's a nerf particularly at low TV, where they didn't need it.
At high TV they can mitigate with Pro or rerolls, which is where they didn't need help |

yeah, I put it in neither a buff nor nerf. It's just different.
Though I personally think it's actually a little buff (overall, especially at higher tv as you say) just because it removes defensive positioning options from your opposition... it's now impossible to defend against a 3+, whereas before you could force a 3+ or 4+ with careful positioning of your screen

FAQ is out and it gave Renegades Mb on the Ogre, and removed M access from the Ogre on the human teams...

If 2x MA is not a guarantee anymore, it makes even more sense to build MA 7 players as ball carriers.
It's easier to have a MA 8 player starting from MA 7. |
