The physical rulebook is not updated with the FAQs. It would not give me all the rules.
Why should I buy an incomplete product?

Because you play the game with other people and it part of the social contract you are entering when you play the game that you know the rules.

i repeat again: the Blood Bowl Italia Federation provides translated rules included with the updates to the FAQs (which have also been translated); the PDF format has even been designed to replicate the style of the official rules.

1) There is no site rule:
https://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=help&op=rules
stating that I must know the game rules to play; of course, generally people know the rules, but it's not a mandatory requirement of the site to play;
2) Owning the book would not guarantee the full knowledge of the rules, because FAQs update them;
3) I can find a different way to know the rules, there is no need to buy the physical book (which is going to be outdated in few years, probably, and not worth the money spent);
I don't need to learn all the rules from scratch, by the way, I just wanted to know a single, specific roll because the client didn't show the formula about it (something which it normally does with other rolls).
You don't want to answer? Fine, I'm not saying you should.

1) Right here on the overview page it says you need to own a copy of the board game to play on this site, and tells you the latest rulebook is found on the Games Workshop website.

This site is not your rulebook. If you want a rulebook, you can buy one.

And I own the older version of Blood Bowl ("An older version is fine"), so I'm perfectly allowed to play here.
I own one 2nd edition box and two 3rd edition boxes.
I never asked for a rulebook, I asked about a rule detail which could have been different in the client.
I copy the client log here so it's clearer:
The team wizard of BBT17Helf casts a Zap! spell.
Zap! spell effect roll [ 6 ]
Annia Zakarn is hit by the spell.
Bounce roll [ 3 ] East

I expected a formula like: dice roll >= player's Strength, hence my question. The client log made me think that, maybe, the Zap! spell had been changed (I knew how it worked). It was strange to see just the dice roll without a formula including the target player's Strength.
This is the replay (HE turn 7, Half 1), in case somebody doubted:

That said, I asked an admin and he told me that I'm allowed to ask about rules here. He told me to ignore the trolls as well.

...not even Nurgle itself could reach such levels, and I know a thing or two about it
