Watching them in BB2025, I’m not really sold on Fumblerooski on the linemen, especially with the linemen sitting at 65k. It feels like the whole roster is paying a tax for a skill that’s pretty niche and, in a lot of situations, not especially helpful.
I’d rather see the linemen go back to being a more basic/cheaper backbone, and put more of the roster’s cost and identity into the Blitzers instead.
The Blitzers already have Block + Side Step, which is great. I think Diving Tackle would complete the positional nicely as the team’s dedicated defensive/control piece — the agile nuisance who can protect a loose ball, stick to carriers, and punish dodges.
If that made them around 130k each, fair enough. I’d rather pay premium money for a genuinely premium positional than have 7–8 linemen all inflated by a gimmick skill.
Cheap/basic linemen, expensive defensive nuisance Blitzers feels like a cleaner identity for the team to me.
I’m not even playing EU at the moment, but that kind of change would genuinely make me consider them again. |

I would remove Fumblerooski (it could be removed at all from the skills ) and make the Linemen cost 60k, change the Catchers' cap from 0-2 to 0-3, they are a trademark player of the EU team.
I would not give default Diving Tackle to the Blitzers to keep them balanced.
They could get too strong with few SPPs points and/or stat boost (imagine a ST 4 Blodge Sidestep Diving Tackler marking the ball carrier, +ST is not as hard to get in BB 2025 as in previous rulesets).
Hail Mary Pass is but TV bloat on the Thrower, it could be removed and make him cheaper, 70k.
With these changes I might consider playing EU again.
They suck too much to bother. HE and WE are way better. |

My problem with EU is their roster identity is compeltely wack. What are they suppose to be otherthan shit elves. When I started playing, I thought EU was like OWA or Renegades where theres different pieces from X factors but EU has none of that. Would love to see a witchlike/dragon prince/assassin/wardancer all fit into the roster in a balanced way. |

EU are low budget Elves. The poor Elves of the Old World playing together.
A Dragon Prince would never ever play with them, an Assassin is closely linked to DE, it's not a wandering player, the Witch Elf too, the same goes for Wardancers.
They would be fine with few changes (i.e. make them cheaper, so they can have a bench, give them up to 3 Catchers so they can make up for being outnumbered with the higher average speed granted by 3 Catchers).
I can't wrap my head around the GW obsession for even cap numbers of players (they even wanted you to order the miniatures' blisters by multiples of 2!). |

even numbers is simply because the team boxes all contain 2x of the same sprue
anyway for EU, yes i think most people agree to take fumblerooskie away and cut -5k off the linemen
otherwise they don't need much
maybe remove HMP
don't add DT, it'd be too strong
and yea, they don't really have an identity |

Adding 1 Catcher to the sprues wouldn't require a huge cost increase, they are not even metal miniatures. It would not require a different packaging either, the overall size of the sprue would be the same.
It would be just 1 extra miniature, not 10.
Also, even if the sprues have 2 Catcher miniatures, nothing would forbid to get the 3rd Catcher by buying it (for example, 2 people, already owning an EU team, could buy an EU team together and split the 2 Catchers, 1 each).
It doesn't take a huge effort in terms of money.
Also, generally people have already some old GW miniatures (which should be allowed and legal to use in tournaments) from past BB editions, or they could make conversions.
I prefer playability of a team over needing to buy just a single box to play it. |

adding 1 catcher to the sprue means u have 4 of them, though...
because the team boxes all contain 2x of the same sprue ...
number of catchers is kind of irrelevant anyway |

Then, if a sprue has 3 Catchers already, I see no reason not to have the 0-3 Catchers' roster cap.
It's not irrelevant. With 2, if you have 1 MNG, for example, the overall speed decreases a lot.
With 3 the team is faster, even with 1 Catcher MNG. |

then u would have 6 catchers ... ?
and what, 2 linemen?
why?
team boxes already don't have enough linemen. they don't need more catchers |

I don't know how the EU sprue is, but it should allow to set up all the players in the roster (not 12 Linemen, but something like this):
2 Throwers
2 Blitzers
3 Catchers
6 Linemen
The roster cap should have 0-3 Catchers instead of 0-2 Catchers like now.
If the team boxes don't have enough Linemen just increase them but anyway, I'm not interested in how the EU GW boxes are, this is another topic.
I'm interested, and we are talking about, HOW the EU team roster should be, not how much the EU roster should match the EU GW boxed team. |

u can't have an odd number because the sprue is duplicated
i didn't think it would be a difficult thing to understand, but each day brings new experiences |

And you can't buy 2 boxes? You can't get a Catcher miniature elsewhere to have 3 Catchers?
Is that hard to understand?
I play Chess variants with fairy Chess pieces. Should I not play a Chess variant with extra pieces just because the official set is made by 32 pieces only?
If there are 2 Catchers in the box, get the third Catcher.
If there are 4 Catchers already, nice, you can play with 3 Catchers (if the cap were 0-3 Catchers as it should).
I'm not interested in the packaging details, I'm not the GW.
The packaging details may explain why there are some roster caps, I get that, but it's not a real reason, from a gameplay perspective, to make a bad roster.
That is my point. I'm interested to talk about the roster, not about why the EU roster has been designed like that.
Since the average AV is low, it's not uncommon for an EU team to be outnumbered, hence the need, in my opinion, to have 0-3 Catchers instead of 0-2.
If the team gets outnumbered (almost sure thing), with 0-3 Catchers it has faster players to make up with speed for the lack of players. |

I'd drop Fumblerooski and put the linemen back to 60k in a heartbeat, but I'd leave the Blitzers as-is.
I'd be much more in favour of giving the Catchers and Throwers better skills than Diving Catch and HMP.
For example, if the Catchers were Dodge, Catch, NoS for 110k then your TV1000 start is probably only 2RR but you've got Dodge for reliability.
If Throwers had Pass, NoS and Sure Hands and cost 90k like the Phoenix Warriors then you've got an interesting recovery piece that meshes well with everything else.
Then you could have a TV1000 start with 2 Blitzer, 2 Catchers, Thrower, and 2RR. And you'd be back to the old identity of veteran positionals and poorly equipped linemen to fill the ranks |

Or just remove Diving Catch and make them cheaper, 90k, to stick to the "low budget" theme.
It's better if Throwers are cheap too, would not make them more expensive than 70k by adding extra skills. Passing game is something done rarely, not worth to invest too much TV on it.
The good skills for an EU Thrower would be Leader, On The Ball, Accurate (or PA 1+).
Sure Hands and NoS are not going to be used very much for their cost, especially NoS, and with multi rr Sure Hands is less useful than with 1 rr per turn.
You can generally afford to fail a pick up and use a rr instead if you really need to do it on that turn.
Instead of Sure Hands, if I had to choose, I'd rather have Leader, which is a sort of Sure Hands if you need it, otherwise you can use the Leader rr for other stuff. |

Keep Fumblerooski but lower the cost to 60k plus give the thrower cannoneer. That would keep them interesting by being able to do some special ball plays—nothing too strong. Also, a cheaper lineman saves them 30k on an 11-player build, which makes them a bit more competitive. |
