well, the Skaven V Dwarf opener in group 1 was a bloodfest, but not quite the way it had been expected:

Second round game between beyond vile and knee high boots is finished. The choas walked all over the elves, and towards the end of the second half, the five remaining elves on the pitch were barely ever standing!
The game turned out to be a draw, fairly unexpected.
There was blood spilt, but only elven blood  |

Were the original rules that all permanent injuries have to be cut? if so, is that still the case? it would deffinately get it closer to one man standing! otherwise, you only play 8 games, and dwarven teams etc (whoch everyone seems to have entered) will not exactly loose many players. |

yeh but that was quite lucky, or unlucky for you. You have to have something to weaken them, 8 games isnt much to kill many players! The scoring advantage for weaker teams has already been taken away (you can loose but still get the full 2 points for TDs), so there has to be something that will hurt those av9 teams! |

It was some very lucky rolls by me 
Would make sense with the whole idea of the league I suppose.
Last man standing, therefore if you've missed a game you shouldn't be allowed to keep playing to get that crown. If at any point a player will have to miss a match (whether through injury in game, or an aged niggle that keeps him out) he should be forced to retire... (and yes, this does mess up my team as I'd have to get rid of 2 players so I'm not saying it to cause trouble) |

We struggled hard, but kept it to a 0-0
I niggled a beasty. Once again, 11 men on my team enter the next leg, vs halfling, looking forward to it G_Force. |
