Blutballas XI Cup Decided in an OT Thriller
In the most unlikely of upsets, Claws r us beat HEAVILY favored Dwarf-Metallica 2-1 in OT.
Having been beaten down in the quarterfinals, the Necros were without the services of both a wolf and a Golem. They relied on super wight Miss Sophie to carry them to the Cup Championship.
The post game quote from the vanguished coach says it all
"Final 1-2 (OT) vs Claws r´us in the most pathetic game this coach has ever played. Gave away the match in the second half by playing as a 5 year old retarded turtle."
The path to the championship was a rocky one as Mithril needed a favorable coin toss just to get past 1st round opponent Winfo Gang. From there they upset Arkeo's super undead and knocked off past champion Ice Dreams before getting a forfeit win over Thid Time Lucky Ladz.
This was a much deserved Cup win and will go down as the one of the biggest upsets in Blutballas championship history. |

Yay! /me wins!
It was a fun cup and i had immense luck through some of the games. Having the Count on the roster all through the tourney since the 2. game also helped some...
