The Return of the Swan Riders!
Greetings sports fans,

After a long pause, finally our Reporter managed to return back to Moot and restart our Swan Riders blog (the 4th or the 5th most beloved team in CIBBL, lets be honest, there are so many amazing blogs out there such as this or this; we cannot and we do not want to compete with them :D ).

The first important remark: Summer and Blood Bowl is very difficult to combine. Coach Kharigor find it very difficult to divide his life between summer activities and fantasy football coaching. In reality, it is miracle that we managed to play almost all our games, but the results were... meh.

But what about the Moot Meat Pie Festival, the redeeming fantasy football festival for the Halflings. At least we can say that it was a lot better than the miserable Eichenschatten Grand Feast some years ago. The team did not play well: a distracted coach and a team build unsuitable to play against stunties led to our worst appearance in our CIBBL history with 1 W – 1 D – 2 L. We even did not play one of our games against Temple of Skull Crocodiles, since the players were trying their best to save the Athern Loren from fires caused from the Fire Elementals fans, who were partying their wins ( seriously who thought that it was a good idea to send Fire Elementals in a Forest? CIBBL officials any comment on that matter?). The psycho fans of Blazing Ignis were just sitting and laughing, not doing anything to address the problem that they caused!! Moot will not forget.

Our results were:

1-1 draw vs Pahualaxa Head-Shrinkers (actually we should have lost the game, but our opponents did not score in their last round. Halfling camaraderie, game fixing? or just innocent distraction from the joyfull Moot atmosphere...)
2-3 defeat vs Black Water Angling Society. (they were a lot better. Seriously they are playing in the Dwarf regionals and they are kicking #ss!)
0-3 defeat vs Blazing Ignis (Nothing worked that day, we want to forget the game and the post-game fires in our beloved forest caused from these maniacs...)
2-1 win vs Stonetooth Swarmers (finally some luck to cure the wounds from this demoralizing tournament. Our fans enjoyed that a lot!)

We finished on the 4th place, just enough for some more Prestige. #2 Drychaen achieved also a Star Status. He is the first of our players to manage to take such a honor.

Talking about prestige: Swan Riders climbed to 270 Prestige Points and the 71 place in the standings, the best ever result for a Halfling team. We will play in the Wood Division, one above the Cloth Division where the Lords of the Harvest played, becoming by far the best Halfling CIBBL team so far. That means we surprisingly managed to reach all our targets for the season (just check our respective blog entry!).

Wood Division is also full of familiar teams:

Corpse Run Nightmares , Crystal Mere Mystics and Scrapheap Scrappers were also with us last Autumn in the Pit Division! Only the very succesful Aethyric Humours (45th place!) missed our reunion, since they are playing in the much higher leagues. For a reminder we won Nightmares and Scrappers and lost from the Mystics last year.

Black Water Angling Society with us in the Moot Meat Pie Festival, which they convincingly won. We lost our game against them.

Another three teams are filling the fray: the extremely historical Norscan Curse, the Lords of the Wolf-Father and the Gehebs Lions.

We will not set any targets this autumn. We will enjoy the ride and the feeling that we succeeded our aims. The division will be very difficult, but we will try our best to take some results. At least we will play all our games in Moot and maybe this will give us some advantage. We will probably restart our pre-game reports for our hardcore fans!

See you in autumn!

Yay!
Glad the blogs are back, always great to read, and following the ascendency of the best Halfling team ever in CIBBL is a joy.
