Claws and BB2020
There are many things that can injure a player in BB. Saws, thrown players, bombs, fireballs, knives, a ground blitz, the ground itself, spiked balls, rocks, etc. But I obsess over being hurt by claws above all else. In BB2020 the use of claws has been nerfed by not allowing MB to add 1 to the AV roll - it is injury only now. This has quite the impact, and AV8 now offers significantly improved protection against Claw + MB equipped players. Assuming that my mathematics is correct.

Gang foul I guess.

The impact of the change isn't world ending.. Now removal is ~24% instead of ~31%. So in the time you currently claw + MB 5 players off of the pitch, you will only get 4 in BB2020.

Does mb still work on av if you don't have claw?

I've not seen the actual rules but that was my understanding from the internet bits I've seen.

@ben Yes, Mighty Blow still works on AV if you don't have claw.

The question is: is using Claw optional? Because if it's optional, there is no difference between Clawmb and MB if you can choose to use Claw after the AV roll and you rolled a 9+ vs AV 8 player, then decide not to use Claw.

Theres no instance where not using claw would be beneficial. If it was av8 you wouldnt brake it with claw or with mb only. Since you cant combine them. So there no difrence if you use mb instead of claw
