“After a disappointing game with the despicable Reavers, Real were keen to get back onto the field. So, instead of turning our coach, that’s horse drawn, towards San Sebastián once we entered Sylvannia, we instead headed over to Timisoara where we fully expected our Vampire opponents to be ready to play our game… as they are usually up all night. And they were.

When the game kicked off it was clear to see that the Timisoara coach had kept his Vampires in a ravenous state to ensure they were as blood thirsty as could be – but this tactic soon back fired when the Vampires failed to draw any undead sustenance and quickly began to wine and dine upon their own players.

Count Wallenstein, known to friends as Wally, made a break down the left wing whilst the undead began pounding on the thralls towards the right field. But with only one comrade as a cover, and with the speed of the ghouls, Wally was quickly over run and hit to the ground by team captain Gerado Garcia! Karla Larburu then scooped up the ball.

Furthermore, the thralls took a beating whilst left alone to contend with the mummies, Mikel González managed to kill a thrall, only to be disappointed when their Apothecary saved him, but this at least paved the way for Iosu to deliver a devastating and crippling blow to thrall star, Decebal Rom, an injury that the doctor could do little to help, as he Blitzed a clear path through for Karla Larburu to the end zone!

In contrast, whilst the Real team could do nothing wrong, the Dragons seemed incapable of stringing a move together… obviously paralysed with fear!

In the second half it was Real’s time to receive. The Mummies began to move the offence forward, Aiser delivered a deftly blow to Ghenadie Ripnu, killing him instantly – and gaining us our first ever Free Transfer! Combined with a casualty in the first half, Aiser was now on for a CAS-Trick to go along with his newly attained Killer Medal.

The drive for the End Zone was a slow and mechanical one. With the Real players only too aware of the ability of the vampires and so Díaz de Cerio remained deep behind an immovable wall of the Walking dead and made a slow march to the end zone to finish the game 2 – 0.

I actually felt bad for CanvasBack. I think this is the worst luck any of Real’s opponents thus far. From the get-go it was clear that the Vampires were going to expel all his team’s RRs quickly, and leave it very difficult to pull off moves that required successive dice rolls. The Vampires couldn’t deal with the Blodges very well and even Hypnotic gaze seemed to fail against AG2 repeatedly. Add to that the fact that we only had to look at the Thralls and they keeled over made for a very frustrating game for Canvas, who remained stoic throughout. Hope you roll better in your next game Canvas.
