Karaz-a-Karak was low on players, so Houston figured to be able to compete with the nasty dwarves - but that was not the case. Even with only 9 players - the dwarves simply dominated - rats were injuried early and often...in addition to KOs that never woke up. The result was a 1-0 halftime lead for the dwarves and Houston with no KOs coming back was down to only 10 players...still not bad considering the dwarves were down to 8...but after 3 double skulls burned all the RRs in the first half, skulls burn a RR again...then quad skulls on first block of turn burn another RR and continued the poor play. Luck meter was 43 to 73 midway through the second half...the ball was loose and it looked to be 1-0 dwarf win, however, on T14, a blitz knocked a dwarf into the ball and it bounced well...then using the last RR, Jasmine Fist (AG 4 linerat) scooped up the ball and raced in for the 1-1 tie. Two turns remained and the dwarves were content to bash for the most part - a failed pickup by a dwarf blitzer and the rats had a chance...they swooped in, but the dwarf blitz dodged away and grabbed the ball and threw it up field...where it lay at midfield. T16, Jasmine Fist again was the hero racing back to grab the ball and than throwing a perfect pass (short pass) to Teyla Thorn who raced in for the game winning TD.

Overall, some of the worst dice we have ever seen. We were mauled left and right and nothing was working - we were only saved by the low dwarf numbers - they could not quit capitalize on their good luck and in the end, our players made the plays to secure the championship...but it was hard fought and bloody.”
