“A very close and twitchy game throughout. For those of you who read my post on the forums prior to the match I went with Ripper and the Wiz.
The first half started with a Blitz for Khory and Words were surrounded. The ball was in a massive clog of players but, after a sneaky hand off, words were able to break clear and power to the endzone (aided by an inoppoortune double skulled troll block)
Khory fought back and stole a TD before the half ended.
Second half began with a blitz for Words resulting in a lot of pressure on the ball in open play. A rer roll assisted pick up and Pass got Khory out of trouble and the drive continued as expected. Khory made a break a bit too early and the ball was knocked loose near the try line. Several pickups follwed by knockdowns continued with Words ending up holding the ball with one turn to play n their own endzone. The crowd surf gamble was taken and the ball was thrown favourably.
A bit more luck with the pick ups and GFIs and overtime was averted. 1 game to go then and I may qualify for a Major!

Good clean fun for the whole family, but in the end Words almost complete failure to cause KOs or cas was too much uphill struggle to overcome. But it _did_ come down to 3+2+ without reroll in the end, and that's as close a game as anyone can hope for!
The one slight downer actually came after the game, when Abuse, rookie beastman and the only casualty Words suffered, stole the MVP and rolled +ST. Ah well, them's the breaks :)
