Wow, that was a tough match.

It was so close to going either way. Nuffle was evil at times to both teams - the Kroxigor opened up with bone head on the first 5 of 6 attempts, really hampering the first drive and enabling the turnover of play for 1-0 to the Alley, albeit with some lucky dodging by the wolf.

There was still 2 turns after good chasing back had forced the early TD, and poor defense left the chance for a skink to make it 1-1. Despite 3 attempts at recovering from the KO, our leader zombie Coolie continued to cool off in the KO box for the start of the 2nd half, however its tit for tat as the wolf Dead Melody regenerates from a smashed ankle.

Blitz! The lizards swarmed but a skink slipped and knocked itself out so it looked pretty comfortable still, even more so when Buddhist Palm eviscerated one of the 2 problem sauri. The ghoul however was proving why ghouls aren't such great ball carriers, twice making a hash of the pick up, dropping it into the end zone after 2 embarrassing turns and the agile skink ran through its legs to scoop up the ball and make it 2-1 to BAD Tharcios.

I made the next drive harder than necessary, by screwing up the wolf blitz and failing a dodge. The skinks are on form now, proving a constant headache as they repeatedly put tacklezones on the ball carrying ghoul, but it keeps dodging safely away. The lizard men are short on numbers now with 4 casualties and no apothecary and unable to contain the necromantics. CroixFer managed to get a long sought after KO of the danger wolf in the process but at least Coolie was back for this play to help the team to 2-2.

Riot! Nuffle gives BAD Thracios the opportunity to steal a win in normal time - but the defense is much better. It doesn't matter as, with no rerolls, the catch then pick up fail anyway.

The lizards receive, and still no Buddhist Palm, pulling his usual trick of skipping out of the match after a bump on the head.

Pig Sty Alley gain a surely critical reroll at kick off, but it is immediately spent as the first hit on the ball fails, Coach Chainsaw's head in his hands, the agile skink is in range. Now, with no rerolls for either side, it is down to Nuffle and he delivers for the Alley as he puts daylight between the two sides in the final series of dice.

The side stepping wolf and ghoul manage to block the route and Coach CroixFer tries to switch play with the agile skink. Time for the wrestle ghoul to shine, and it duly does, bringing down the skink and running away with the ball for the winner,”
