The game went into overtime where I made some mistakes but got lucky enough for those mistakes not to cost me.
I decided to bring a wizard and an extra apoth to the game even though neither did anything.
Quariondk took the kickoff. He surrounded my men but I was able to pull off some decent blocking early. For the first seven turns only my kicker and a rookie CDB were hurt. I BH one of his st3 skinks. On turn 7 I decided to use my wizard on 5 of his men but only one was knocked down. I blitzed his ballcarrier and knocked him out. He got lucky though and was able to pick up and hand off for a TD. If I had a redo I might have gone with the bolt but either way he probably would have scored. To end the half I SI'd one of his skinks.
Quariondk decided to sit his superskink for the second half. In my first turn of the second half I was able to BH three of his players for an ejection one of my DP's. He tried to surround my ballcarrier with skinks but I was able to BH another and KO one more. He was down to 6 defenders. In turn 5 I killed a skink but tripped on my feet dropping the ball. Turn 6 I sent one of his players off the pitch and he apoth'ed another player. I was able to pick up the ball but only had 1 RR left. Turn 7 I BH his tackler while using my last RR.
Overtime and Quariondk got the ball. I tried marking his men but he escaped down the sideline. This is where I made a mistake that almost cost me the game. I could have sent 4 of my players to surround and crowd push his skink out. However I decided to 1 dice block his skink and he fell. I recovered the ball but I left my guy on the sideline which was another mistake. I should have GFI off the sideline to protect him. Quariondk pushed my super hob out of bounds and recovered the ball. I was lucky again and knocked him down surrounding the ball with 4 players and I SI'ed one of his remaing Saurai. Turn 4 I tried blocking him down but only got pushes. He pushed himself on the ball on accident and the ball was recovered by me. His saurus tried to get to the ball carrier but never got to him. I fouled his skink out for good measure and scored in turn 7 for a lucky win.
Overall I ended up tossing 73 blocks causing 10 casualties. Pretty bloody.
