I had trouble coming up with words for this match, but then I remembered where I had seen something like this before. People killing themselves, sometimes several times over and then finally: "NO! ... Time to lose."

The game really came down to turn 3. The chaos, up 3 players, carefully formed a cage with my Krox tagging one of the corners. This left an easy no dodge, no leap 2d on the ball... but I failed the dauntless (RR would have changed 50% to take the ball out into 75% but didn't seem worth that on a non turnover action, considering I wouldn't have the RR for any pickup attempt afterward) and then pushed at the ball a bit. Then I tagged up the line in a careful way so I could take a 2d on the killer beastman while not allowing any 2d back from anyone with damage skills.

What happened next: I lost the game. After a rare chaos blitz that didn't result in a removal (see stats below), the ball protected by only half a cage, with a jump up frenzy blitzer tagging one of the corners and easy frogs in reach of a 2d against the BC... The dp comes in for a 1 assist foul... a foul that if it fails will make this easy shot on the ball all the more easy- but he succeeds in KOing the prone blitzer, then uses that beast to assist a 1d on Salsa, which results in a pow (no tackle, so that's what is needed), and then BH on Salsa after piling on. To sum up: this play has a 30% chance of totally failing (if dp had been ejected) and giving me an awesome shot on the ball, possibly the game if I can collect and stall out the half. Instead, it succeeds so completely as to seal the fate of the half and in turn locked up the game.

There were several other chances, amazingly enough, but in the end it was not to be. I wish I could say this game was fun, but it really wasn't on my end. I usually enjoy playing against Bill, but this was just too much, and the foul at the end to niggle yet another blitzer sealed the deal that the frogs are getting benched for a while.

Some numbers, because I was curious:

Total (including KOs) number of player removals: 16

Removals from blocking: 14, for a wild 52% removal rate per block.

But yeah, what about those clolpombers? They are nasty right? Well, it turns out there were only a few times PO was needed, and claw was only used twice - both times it only added damage to what would have been a KO anyway (-ma and RIP on the krox). That's right, those two clawpombers didn't need claws and barely needed any PO to wrack up this one:

Total blocks from clawpombers: 14
Total removals from clawpombers: 11, for a mighty 79% player removal per block! - And remember, no additional removals came from use of claws, and only two came from PO. That is just some old fashioned big fists!

I have to laugh at this, not least because Bill calls me a lucker on a regular basis. To that I say: ;)
