Hello sports fans! Tonight's game sees two elf teams clash in the first round of the Warpstone Open Qualifying competition. Raughri's Small Screen Heroes face off against Cachuli's NBA supporters. Neither heavily fancied to emerge from a tough qualifying group, but both looking for a win to face off against group favourites Six punks and friends.

The Supporters had the fame, but the Heroes won the toss and chose to receive.

A couple of turns to create a gap, and the Heroes burst down the north flank. The half cage gave the Supporters a shot at the ball and the ST4 Wardancer, KL42, took it with aplomb. The throw in, saw the ball land deep in the Wood Elf half. A failed GFI prevented the free Gary Strang from being marked. A couple of pushes in the melee, and Gary Strang took the opportunity to score in turn three.

1-0 Heroes

The bottom of the third turn, saw first blood go to the Supporters as RR9 badly hurt the niggled Tribbiani.

The Wood Elf score by catcher RW happened a couple of turns later, after a quick hand off from Wardancer LBJ. While the surfed Eldril Sidewinder, didn't recover from his KO as he was caught short by signing a few autographs for the Heroes' faithful.

score 1-1

A couple of turns of typical elven blocking is ended when Treeman Pekovic 2.0 rolls bothdowns leaves a gap down the southern flank. The Heroes dash down the flank, while Chandler Bing makes a couple of dodges to streak down the north side.

The Woodies bunch up the play, but fail to prevent ag boosted Brittas from dodging through tacklezones to throw a pass for Bing to score the Heroes second.

2-1 Heroes

A riot gives the the Supporters a shot at a two turn score, but some major lagging means that coach Cachuli missed the opportunity to do so. After failing with the one turn score, a double skulls on the final turn brings proceedings to a premature end.

half time Heroes 2 Supporters 1

The second half begins with a Heroes blitz, followed by a successful early wizard which KOs two and badly hurts Lineman KT1 - the first woodies to leave the field. A 4+ dodge by Blackadder, and successful 1D blitz pops the ball, before Brittas leaps and dodges in, and picks up the ball before dodging back out.

A blitz from ST+ KL42 fractures Brittas' arm, but the apothecary is on the spot to patch him back up. Before a cheeky sidestep gives Blackadder a shot at the ball. A failed GFI eats up the reroll and then the block rolls up skull/bothdown....

The Woodies then free up the ball and are deep in the Heroes' half before you can say "what the f*ck just happened there?". And a gfi lets the woodies in for the equalizing score!

Supporters make it 2-2

Mixed KOs make it a 10 on 9 going into the bottom of the fourth turn of the game.

A return blitz on this occasion as the Supporters take the opportunity to blitz Eldril (who had an exceptional game). In response the Heroes dart down the opposing flank although a snaked dodge gives the Woodies a chance.

Once again the supporters swarm the ball and the Heroes have to dance one way and the other trying to find a gap.

Another snaked dodge (first action, idiot coach) gives coach Cachuli a great shot at the ball. But Nuffle chuckles as Treeman Pekovic rolls double skulls before wasting the Wood Elves final reroll.

The Darkies regroup, while the Woodies mark up their rivals. But a final turn passing play wins it for the Heroes.

final score Heroes 3 Supporters 2

Thanks for the game Cachuli.
