“An incredible match!
Skryre with the obligatory murderous Vermin and a nice supporting cast of Slaves vs. a banged up but ready to rumble squad of Strigs led, of course, by ST6 Lord Munchem'all. Eighteen cas (only 7 BH!) was the result.
First half was pretty much all Destiny, pushing in the score on T8 with only 1 gfi required. But the two kickoffs to the Leechers left them man down going into the second half drive. Despite the Vermin doing what they do, the Leechers scored on H2T5, and were only facing 3 rats. The win looked assured.
The final kick precipitated Pouring Rain (see what I did there haha), and the Destiny Maker's last Slave pulled off an amazing punt to put the ball deep and virtually guarantee a tie game. That was followed by a brain fart by the Leecher coach, who forgot his Lord failed BL and was thus sent off the pitch trying to mark the slave after blitzing thru and cas'ing (apo fail!) one of the Mechs.
Said slave raced downfield to put a TZ on the ball. Could the Makers pull off a 3 player upset?!
The Leechers sent Count Emptii downfield into scoring position and went after the ball deep in their end. Two gfi managed to KO the last Slave leaving one turn and 3/4 field in Pouring Rain.
And lo and behold, this match proved why you should alway always always, if possible, move a player into scoring position. A pickup, pass, catch, gfi, handoff, two gfis (two BL rolls) all in the Pouring Rain...and the Leechers SCORE the winner on T16! Without a rr even! Epic.”
