“This was a crazy match which ended as an uplifting one for the Villains and a damaging one for Side by Each, though both sides faltered at times.
First half there was a touchback and the Elves pressed us as we advanced up the pitch. We couldn't take down Elves too well and were being kept to a flank. After a ko on both sides the Villains saw a chance to go more central but Quickfingers tripped (snaked the gfi) up when trying to finish the cage spot. Son of Draknil was left stranded and pushed against the sideline by a blizing catcher. Their skilled linelf then had to finish off the job by surfing the ghoul off the pitch but it stayed strong and the Elf was seriously injured! We moved to the middle though the Elves were not done yet. Seeing a chance to break a mistake was made and a Wight moved instead of blitzing an Elf and Son of Draknil was exposed again. The Elves did brilliantly and he was brought down with him and a zombie ko'd in moments. But they couldn't pass it away and the half ended 0-0.
Next half it looked like the Elves may go for a quick score up the flank but C'est Le But tripped up when closing passing range and fractured his skull! Switchblade picked up and numbers were on our side. He was wrestled down but the Forgotten Villains players were scenting blood and hitting strong. Walking Dead killed Whippet (who was welcomed to our lineup) and Son of Draknil stalled out a win as we stomped on their players.
A fun match with some shock fails for both sides but it really went wrong for the Elves early 2nd half.
