#10 D'Angelo – Gouged Eye (MNG)
Two Dark Elf Legends meet head to head in this matchup. In the Dreadknights corner we have the Witch King, Malikith, coming in with 14 Kills and 90 casualties. The defending champs, Hag Graef Soulrippers, is led by their one and only Lord Drulo. He comes in with a whopping 108 casualties. The fans have been waiting all week for this battle and it has finally arrived.
Dreadknights won the coin toss and chose to receive. Rowdy fans tried to get in the game by throwing rocks at both teams stunning a player each. Talion was poisoned by Witch's Brew before the match but the ball was given to him anyway. He became Really Stupid and looked really lost out there. Dreadknights tried to ground and pound their opponents but their armor held tough. HGS snuck in a 12th player while the Halfling Ref was at the popcorn stand. DK was hit by an aggressive counterattack and was put on their heels and outnumbered. Talion had to bring the ball back deep in his own territory where HGS overwhelmed the remaining DK players. The Runner tried a desperate dodge but he couldn't get away from the diving tackle expert and he was badly hurt in the attempt. Lord Adrian Poisonblade would receive the honors of picking up the ball in the endzone to put his team up by one at the break.
HGS received in the second half and they enjoyed a several player advantage. DK attacked with some fouls but could not penetrate the unholy armor of Lord Drulo. HGS kept their Quarteback in the backfield running down the clock as DK couldn't spare a player to put any pressure on them. Lazarus forced the QB out but his teammates couldn't stop the hand off for the touchdown to seal the victory. The last turn of the game saw some aggression from DK but it was too little and too late. DK's first endeavor in an XFL and they make it to the Finals. A very good run against some good teams and Coaches but in the end they fall to the defending champs, Hag Graef Soulrippers.
