#6 Daft Goreskin – Smashed Ankle (-MA)
#7 Benign Raccoon – Fractured Skull (-AV)
With the recent news coverage on Sipp Pigblatter, I feel it is time for me to come clear of some terrible wrongdoings that have befallen the Nuzzling Necros and myself.

It is true, we are being corrupted by the evil forces of Chaos. And contrary to popular belief, it's not sheer force that is damaging the heroes of the Nuzzling Necros Team. No, if only it were Mighty Blow that made our misery into this horrid show. I'm afraid this story is bigger and more shameful than that. I shall explain and I shall do so with my eyes down for I cannot bear to look you fair (HA!) folks in the eyes as I tell you this story of valiant heroes, horrible villains, amazing games and gruesome atrocities.

It all began during the Combined HUBBA Bowl. The Nuzzling Necros were training on a field, the sun was taking a peek past the white clouds when the sky turned black and pink. While the Nuzzling's zombies were practising how to keep a steady footing when obstacles are on the field and the rest of the team were helping the flesh golems catch the ball, a sinister figure entered the Resurrection Dome, the wonderful home stadium of the Nuzzling Necros. The darkness in the sky slowly disappeared but a feeling of dread kept lingering in the back of the head of everyone inside the Resurrection Dome. The Nuzzling stopped with whatever they were doing and I didn't protest. My view was locked on the two-headed monstrosity that was heading our way. One of the heads, large and ugly as that of an Ogre looked around the field with a murderous gaze. But perhaps more frightful was the smaller, almost tumor-like, head that ignored everyone on the field but me. His eyes were wide open and full of pure hatred and.. envy?

"Stay put... stay down" I said to my team who were slowly realizing a fight might be imminent.

"Left'n'Right, what business have you here? It's no game day, you are not welcome here."

Left'n'Right ignored my words and kept walking towards me, the grass withering under their steps. The iron taste of blood in our mouths suddenly made everyone hungry (well, that's what happens with zombies and the lot). The two-headed monstrosity leaned over and while Right looked me in the eyes, ready to murder me on the spot, Left whispered in my ear. His words weren't necessarily threatening but neither were they friendly. I don't know what happened to me because I heard him make promises, promises in exchange for a small price he said, and I agreed to the deal he proposed. How they did it, I don't know, I must have been enscorcelled, enchanted to cooperate without raising too much suspicion. Not more than I'm used to as head of HUBBA Towers and coach of a HUBBA team. It comes with the territory, and yes, I get payed a modest wage for being able to combine those two jobs at the same time. A stressful endeavour I must say.

Satisfied with my agreement, the [HUBBA] Mutants' coaches, or coach?, turned around and disappeared in a dark flash. Everything seemed normal again so I ushered everyone back to work. While the team dutifully complied and trusted my leadership, a darkness took hold over me. My plans for the coming season I had so meticulously prepared were changed only a little bit, but changed none the less. No one would notice but I added some more risks into the plays I had in mind for each game to come. Some of the Nuzzling Necros would get hurt. Hurt badly and some beyond repair. They'd pay a price without knowing they would. But I really thought it was for the greater good of the team and of HUBBA. Each time one of the Nuzzling Necros got hurt, a small part of what was left of their soul got taken away. The Chaos must have found a way to exploit our player's contracts by the agreement I made with their coach. The more experienced they were, the more the Mutants would gain from the deal.

We did reasonably well that season and we managed to come close to winning the season. Something had befallen the Ogre coach Garion and the Arkham Sanitarium were locked away for a part of the season so some forfeits were made against the other teams. Second last game of the season we met finally the Mutants. This was it. All these promises that had been made would have to be fulfilled. It looked as if it would all happen as I expected but when the referee blew the final whistle, we were still in second place. I was furious, oh so furious, but there was nothing I could do. I had agreed on a deal without a way of making sure the other party would uphold his part of the deal. Back in my office, tears streamed down my cheeks. Despair and loneliness took hold of me and I felt as if my kingdom was about to be taken away from me. And that's when I lost control of HUBBA. The last games looked to be forfeits but deadlines were shifted, lawyers showed up and went through the archives of HUBBA Towers and all of a sudden an announcement was made by Left'n'Rigth. Well, it wasn't so much an announcement as a challenge. They [HUBBA]Mutants were offering us a chance of still winning the season. Apparently when a CAS advantage is all that separates the number one of a division of the number two, the coach of the team in the first spot can make a Blood Challenge. The HUBBA Blood Challenge is an ancient rule that never came up before, but must have been prepared by the early HUBBA Chaos teams for such an eventuality.

We didn't have much time to prepare and the Nuzzling Necros weren't in a great state. The deal we made had left us weakened and I had several investors, part of the Zoqnax' Official Multi-national Business Investment Enterprise, breathe down my neck. They still are worried and are expecting trouble for the future of the team if we aren't able to keep an experienced roster. Too many injuries are suffered they said and with only a second spot this season, our main sponsors were renegotiating our deals. Money might become a problem for us. I never got to finish that conversation. The entire team got teleported away to the Mutant's stadium. And the rest... well, you have seen it. We won. We won gloriously against all odds. One would expect that Nuffle was on our side but I know the truth. Darker powers than our beloved Fantasy Football God are at play here. Two more players got their souls damaged and when the game was over my players weren't happy. They knew something was wrong. One of the zombies complained that he had the feeling tiny fish hooks were latched onto his brain, slowly pulling at him when he'd play. All my players are cursed. Some already were so they are even worse off. They will never know a normal (un)life again. They are doomed to spend whatever time they have left with a split soul and without knowing when their time is up, their souls will be doomed. All because of me.

I have made a grave error (!) by allowing the Mutants to join HUBBA but I hereby promise, I will do everything I can to free my players from the terrible prospect of their futures. I have set my personal assistants eldritchfox and dfunkateer to work in the archives and I have heard some promising things.

So now it's business as usual. HUBBA's tenth season is all but over and we're about to commence HUBBA Bowl. I promise you all to bring better news before the start of next season. In the mean time: have fun and beware of the [HUBBA]Mutants and their coach.

Thanks for the game, it was mighty fun! Wilhelm was awesome!
