GLT XII: High TV Qualifiers 4 - round 1

The game started off ominously bad as Marduk Solarcalf was nearly killed on T1 by bates. Fortunately the apothecary was playing better than the Taureses and patched him up. Then after a lot of pushing and tickling (I'm looking at you Nanna), Nebullchadnezzar had a clear shot on the ballcarrier and a chance to be the hero. Instead, he rolled 3 skulls and a skull/pow (with reroll). You can guess what the last two dice were. The dwarfs were easily able to recover and score on T8. Even our T8 wall of pain did nothing more than a few stuns. And the ref took our bribe but at least didn't eject our player. Same thing happened to the dwarfs a few turns into the 2nd half. I told the Taureses to get mad and start hurting someone. They eventually listened. We were able to also score on T16, though ours was far from the well protected TD of the dwarfs. Wee featherstorm kept coming after us but eventually started tripping over his own feet; both in T16 and on the last play of the game. Winning the coin toss in OT made all the difference, though having an 11-10 numbers advantage didn't hurt either. We quickly expanded that on the first few hits of OT. Still had trouble keeping a cage together and protected, as the Taureses reverted back to 1st half form for a turn or two. Ramush was decent, but did get knocked down a few times and had a hard time getting back up. Still, his extra strength was useful and 3 die blocks are always nice.

Thanks for the game, beads, and good luck with the team. I've got high elves. I did you a favor ;)

epilogue: we pushed drates into the crowd, who gently carried him back to his own dugout. Then dates through a pass to himself and scored an SPP. So we killed him for it. That should have been drates, though. So we took out cates and bates for good measure.
