K, a few pointers.

Your team build. You did right to take Guard on non-Blitzer doubles, but by taking Guard on all your Blitzers now you haven't got enough (or any) Mighty Blow. You will have a hard time against teams like mine, with just a pair of MB/Tackle players. When they get good dice (and my injury dice in particular were hot), you need removal ability, or you'll end up man-down and all that Guard won't help you. You also need a reserve. Just one reserve works wonders in close games. Just get MB next on all 4 Blitzers and hire a 12th woman.

Turn 1, your setup was very novel. I like it. I'm not stealing it, I like what I do better, but it lets you deploy as needed. You kind of made a mistake trying to control midfield so hard, gave up a free 2d-into-2d hit on your Blitzer. (I could have fouled her too, I opted not to because she was stunned.) But otherwise you did okay.

Turn 2, you misclicked a blitz when you thought you were moving. The response to this was to double down giving me a free shot on all the players you put into base contact. This didn't end in catastrophe, but it could have gone very badly if the dice had turned that way. You also put a valuable player deep in the open, perhaps to receive a pass? But all she did was attract my ST4 B/G/MB/T monster, tying him up until he could take her out.

That's all fine. Turn 3 is where you really gave it up. You went back into base contact instead of blitzing one end of my formation and maintaining your screen otherwise. Had you merely dodged Zelak and Merina out of harm's way and ended turn, you would have fared better.

Turn 4, you did it again! You insisted on controlling the center, even though by now you were man-down and facing a team designed to pick off your players. You should have attacked the north edge, if you ask me, and tried to control a screen along midfield. By marking all my players like that, you opened the way for a nasty blocking war, and gave me the first salvo.

Also turn 4, you gave up the game. The pass-and-run was ill-advised, but you probably knew that when you did it. This is where you really gave it up. You knew I had a ST4 player with Tackle ready to take her down, you probably should have just advanced a screen along that side and run up behind it with your Thrower. That's not great either, but wouldn't have left me shots on the ball. The real problem was that you had too many players tied up in a scrum.

After that, you'd already lost, and you just got bad dice to add insult to injury.

Lessons:

1) Screen, don't walk into contact with teams that have lots of Guard, MB, Tackle.
2) Get some MB.
3) If a play seems desperate and it's not turn 7-8, don't bother. Do something else. There's usually a safer play if you put your mind to it.
