“Vikings did their blocking, frenzying magic on the proud humans... enough so that in the end, 10 Norsemen lined up to face 5 regular non-Norse humans.
Humans got impatient halfway through the first half after caging up nicely and sending an AV9 receiver ahead for the ball (despite very sunny weather and no Catch skill)... a failed 5+ pass got the ball loose... still had one or two shots at scoring (one quite easy, the other quite hard) but didn't work out.
In the second half, humans were outnumbered 10 vs 8 going in, and after the vikings caged up with the ball it was hard going. The coach tried his best to stop the furious humans after the vikings got man after man carried off the pitch on stretchers, but they still egged blitzer Rickfors to put his boot in the face of a fallen Norseman... who will live to tell the tale, but the referee was merciless and sent Mikael off the pitch as well.
Lineman Povel Ramel learned the art of Guarding after the game, which will come in handy in future games.
The team also got enough money from playing to hire a fourth and final blitzer, Cornelis Vreeswijk.
This also marked the tenth game in the Blackbox trophy for this team.”
