“Intense game against a friendly coach from the southwestern neighbor (Denmark). This lizard team was one of the first that I played a year ago when I was a complete rookie to blood bowl... results back then were not as good. I may actually have learned something.

Elves played a solid blocking game but the lizards insisted on a silly strong ball carrier (ST 4 saurus with block, AG+, and sure hands) which made it a dangerous affair to try to knock him out. Plenty of gang fouls of expensive, nasty big lizards and a reasonable attempt at blitzing and blocking the super fast little skinks with my tacklers at every opportunity.

In the end it came down to the roll of the dice; a nice 5+ interception of a (reasonable) pass gave the ball to the lizardmen in turn 16, when there was a not-impossible sequence of moves that could have equalized... all in all, happy with how the game turned out.

End result would have been 3-1 if the opponent hadn't tried to give the SPP to another skink by parking him in the end zone. Failed go-for-it and tripped and fell.

No permanent damage to either team, but will be playing next game with only one dancer...”
