NCBB - Season 32
Week 8
The Battle of Ohio

Fans from both teams poured into the stadium to take part in this epic showdown of regional teams during the first week of Out-of-Conference play, in a match promising to have ramifications in the final standings. The fans were greeted with perfect Blood Bowl weather, and the promises of a great match up.

Miami won the coin toss and elected to receive, bringing to the pitch Lottabottol who had been hired for the match. While Miami collected the ball Bro-hio moved into a screen position to prevent any advancement of said ball. Rather than attempt to advance Miami chose to stall as they attempted to remove some of the Bro-hio players from the pitch. This "game plan" allowed for the Buckeyes to make a leaping 1d blitz attempt on the ball by Wardancer Malik Harrison, who stumbled just before the block. The poor positioning allowed Miami to capitalize, Surfing Wardancer Baron Browning (where the crowd of Miami fans crushed the poor elf to death, necessitating the Apothecary's assistance to save Browning and return him to the dugout), and knocking two other players unconscious. As Miami attempted to swing away for the sideline and back towards the center of the pitch and towards the goal they foolishly left the ball exposed for a massive hit from Bro-hio's Treeman, allowing for the stat freak thrower to collect the ball as the Buckeyes performed a lateral to get the ball to safety. Lottabottol attempted to intercept the pass but could not get a hand on the ball. Though Miami wrestled the ball away they soon were stopped in their tracks by poor blocking, allowing a easy hit on the ball, resulting in the ball being thrown to midfield by the crowd. The Buckeyes looked to take the early lead with an easy pass to an elf waiting in the endzone, but somehow they fumbled the uncontested pickup. Miami got back to the ball and recovered, injuring that same dangerous thrower with a foul in another attempt to remove any threats. Undaunted Bro-hio came back, took the ball, and scurried away, again looking to make an attempt at a pass into the endzone. The BallHawks again regained the ball and attempted their own pass but failed the catch (the fourth consecutive "1" rolled by LottaBottol on a Catch attempt) to close the first half at 0-all.

Playing 7-on-10 Bro-hio took to the pitch to receive the kickoff. It was at this time a Miami fan threw a rock, removing another Buckeye from the pitch (thanks, fans!) Feeling the numbers crunch Bro-hio opted to cage the ball at midfield with one of their Wardancers, but they could not stop Miami from leaping in, setting the ball free, and collecting the loose ball. Another foul from Miami injured the remaining Wardancer, and with that, Bro-hio's desire to fight. Facing no opposition Miami stalled for a last moment touchdown.

A very odd match.
