“The elves took hit after hit with MB (and sometimes claw), as well as 11 fouls, and yet stood unbowed after 24 turns. First half the elves received and zig-zagged their way downfield, though they still had to roll dice to score in the end due to excellent defense. When BeanBelly took to the pitch in the second half he did much the same, pushing his way forward without much trouble and scoring without needing any rolls on T16. With three snots on the LOS we had no chance to one-turn, but the coinflip went to Marlinspike, which was the decisive blow. One of those matches where the OT coinflip decided things - I'm always hard-pressed against Bean, which is exactly why I always want him on my squad during team NAF events :)”
As said, we both scored our scores fairly straightforwardly - progressing at that steady ‘stalling not stalling’ pace to dab it down in T8.
Side-Step on both teams made 1turns difficult to impossible. And kick skill pretty much ruled out the TTM option for snots, esp with the GR out briefly.
In the end the OT toss was pretty much the decider.
