Even when he was alive, Steve was a heartless man. Nobody ever truly liked him, and he never pretended to like anybody. Socially, he spent most of his time in large groups, where his presence was tolerated by default. When Jasper met him when first recruiting for the team, even he was made uncomfortable by Steve's incredible lack of emotional intelligence. "This", Jasper thought, "would be an excellent tool to militarize against other blood bowl teams." And so Steve was recruited to the comparatively-high ranked position of Acolyte.
