Questions of leadership and judgement swirl amid and off-season get together where rumored retirements were to be announced along with a celebration of the team's accomplishments. However, after injured players The Flying Dutchlife, Jeffro the Dancing Goon and Khornine all announced they would be visiting other Fae at a farm upstate a surprise guest took the stage: Kryten is to Blame!
After thanking the team for (somehow?) keeping him alive all this time, he announced that rather than going for legend he would be retiring on his own terms. The season 29 rookie of the year broke his own completion record in Season 30 and "lead" the team to the their first playoff victory. You could hear a pin drop, so everyone heard Kryten drop the mic and watched in a daze as he walked backwards off the stage with his head held like a High Elf.
Leadership is rumored to be pondering a new direction to take the team, but one dashingly humble grue who agreed to speak with us on condition of anonymity suggested that leadership is "excited to make progress moving the team forward into the future". Readers are left to wonder: where does the Mean Fae leadership find such courage?
