[BBT7] Varsity Rotters

The Varsity Rotters opened up their season with a truly awful game, in the first half they couldnt do anything right, in the second their opposition suffered a similar fate. Probably the worst watch of the season but ground out a draw.

Starting the second game with the ball they performed seamlessly if not a little quick scoring with no risk and taking out an opponent star in the process. Despite chances, the team allowed an equaliser before half time. The second half was a grindy affair, a couple of small errors combined with a failed GFI ensured the game ended a draw but defensively the team remained solid.

Solid as ever, attacked well, but ended up not quite scoring after knocking out half the opposing team. Second half they went ball hunting and got it with enough time to spare, straight forward 1-0 win all in all.

New signing Dacer the Rotspawn played his first game, very unconvincing. Up against Skaven and they did what they do. 3-0 loss. Nothing much notable happened except deaths of opposing team players.

Dacer still seems to be a bad charm. Ok ish start quickly degenerated into a race to get off the pitch. Dacer looked confused most of the game, probably due to the players around him disappearing. Fans booed the team and allegations of match fixing were being openly made against the sorry set of "players". 2-0 loss. The team officials were heard arguing after the match, the upshot was a dejected looking Dacer sliding off carrying his things.

With Dacer gone, this unbeatable team got back to work. Seeing off a Wood Elf team well and spending the winnings on a new Pestigor called Code. Fans are getting excited again. 2-1 win.

Very tightly fought game with little dwarves, 0-0 at half time, kicking 11v10. The dwarves found their feet a bit and KO'd 2 Rotters, despite getting really close to the ball the Rotters never prised it out, a late chance in the dying seconds did not get over the line and the game ended 1-0.

The rotters are becoming the team of tight games, this time a bunch of girls pushed them all the way in the first half before a last gasp stoppage, followed by some nifty kicking leaving them down a couple of guys for the second half. Mixing it up with a blitz almost paid off in the second half but key moments went against them. Going all out for an equaliser saw a soft second conceded. 2-0 loss but decent play.

This game was Nurgle poetry in motion, from start to finish sublime, Ophelia hitting hard all game took 2 opponents out of the game completely, one out of this plane of existence. One score per half courtesy of a Goblin flying through the air and serving up the second. 2-0 comfortable win.

The complete opposite to the previous game, in the pouring rain and up against low quality weak humans the boys didn't want to know. Half hearted hitting throughout cost them countless opportunities to make in roads. In the second half the opposition simply had to run in a TD, twice. 2-0 loss.

Up against some fellow rotting scum the team defended solidly and even carved out a couple of chances in the first half. Going into the second half the team were hyped, coming out fast and taking out some weak opposing players. It all got a bit much for them though and a couple of players seemed to forget what to do. Some unlucky ball bouncing followed by an almost impossible failure to tackle by Ophelia left the team in shock and the opposition creeping over the line by the skin of their teeth. Harsh result but a 1-0 loss either way.
