BIOGRAPHY

The Red Craw goblins' Chief Snikla concluded that the Hungry Gobbos were cursed. Their decimation in the Orcland Cheataz cup had been emphatic, even by their own poor standards. Seventeen of the team had died including the Gobbos' bombardier, followed moments later by the troll who had ingested him. Their other weaponry, the new Pogo-Saws and the experimental Bomb and Chain, hadn't been unqualified successes either.

After consulting his Shaman, Snikla knew what had to be done. The Shaman, high on loon juice, had jabbered of an artefact so powerful, so blessed and so eye-wateringly uncomfortable that it would bestow its wearer with the ability to channel almost limitless Waaagh! magic. This surely would break the curse. Snikla summoned the remnants of the Hungry Gobbos, drew himself up to his full three feet and six inches and screamed: "Bring me da Jockstrap of Forns!"

The artefact was tracked to a minor and chaotically administered blood bowl tournament where the Gobbos, realising they were destined not only to lose badly but also to die horribly, set about nobbling refs and bribing officials. They cower there to this day, waiting for their shot at fame and glory, or, more likely, a decent chance to steal the Jockstrap and run away as quickly as possible.
