Since the dawn of time, they've sat there... Waiting, resting and passing the days by watching the odd spider spin a web, wait for a passing fly, get bored with waiting then die through starvation. The Deserters have perfected the art of doing things slowly, so, so slowly. They sat in the darkness as empires crumbled throughout the world and still they waited. Many times one considered moving, maybe popping out to see if it was raining but still they waited. Sand blew, it always did, nobody ever thought of sticking it to the floor and through all this the sun continued to rise and fall. Thousands of years passed, nothing happened until... Chief Guardian Imhotep stood up, and through intense frustration kicked a mummified pig across the tomb. The rest of the Arid lot were transfixed, the bandaged pig knocked over an urn containing the loose bits of King Djellybabi. From then on in it was only a matter of time until this lot took to the Blood Bowl field. They just aren't very good at it. |
