| The Blue Anchor was once a thriving hostelry on the banks of the great river Rother in Anderida south of the Andredswald forest. Thirsty sailors spending their pay after long voyages away frequented it but in the autumn of 87 a great storm changed the course of the river. Since that day the fortunes of both the port and pub have declined. Poor out of work sailors and the remnants of the ports once successful Blood Bowl team the Albion Rovers now frequent the pub. No longer able to field a full strength team and with the best players having gone elsewhere it was thought the team would finally fold. But Nuffle had not finished with them just yet! An offer to join a new ‘Pubbowl League’ was made. The team naturally took the name of their pub and entered. It now only remains to be seen if this is the beginnings of something great or whether it is just the last hurrah. Team retired when I left this League. |
