The "Tribal Games" were a series of games that Ewoks from scattered tribes came to play. There was much dancing and storytelling, but there were also far more dangerous events. Tree-jumping was a very popular game among young Ewoks. The Ewok would climb to the highest lifetree and leap off the highest limb. They had to catch themselves on the lower limbs until they descended all the way to the ground. If an Ewok missed, he could be seriously injured.

After the invasion of Endor and the introduction of other species, some of the braver Ewoks were intrigued by a game played with a dead pig. They could still swing from trees and there was still danger of serious injury or death, but because they were able to play toe to toe with the big boys they relished the opportunity!

When two of their "gods" took avatars as jedi, the little furballs finally had direction and inspiration to fight against the dark forces of the sith... and so was born the Bloodbowl team from the Happy Grove, Chief Chirpa's Bright Tree Villagers!
