Why an Academy division?

The Academy division was introduced to create a place in which new coaches (new to fumbbl or new to the game in general) can learn the basics of the game before being "let loose" into the many varieties and formats of BloodBowl that can be played here.

Whether you want to use it or prefer to jump directly into the other possibillities that can be found here is, of course, completely your choice, but it´s a great forum for learning and you could take advantage of that.

Changing Division

You can move your teams to Unranked Division at all times, but not back.

Special rules

Your wins/draws/losses statistics will not get updated by games in this division.

Your teams are not playable above TR 150. They will not be retired or deleted, you can simply not play with them. If you accidentally get a team above the limit you can either move the team to Unranked or trim the team to get back under that limit.

Coach Ranking is not affected by games played in this division.

Finding games

You can use the IRC channel #FumbblAcademy to find other new coaches to play against or ask one of the more experienced coaches for a game. Bowlbot is present in the channel so the bblfg command will display your Academy teams for everyone to see.

You can also use the gamefinder as with every other division on fumbbl.

Trainers, teachers and professors

Everybody there are most likely in the Academy to play and you can ask the more experienced coaches to review one of your replays, give you some pointers in a game vs. them or just ask general questions about skill choices and team management. Anything goes, no questions are too stupid to be asked. But as everybody else on this site they are there out of their own free will, spending their time helping you! So a little politeness would be nice :-)

Helpers can be identified by their @ or +v status in #FumbblAcademy
