Elf team lineups

LRB4 Starting Rosters

Variation 1

  • 2 Blitzers
  • 9 Line Elves
  • 3 Rerolls
  • 9 Fan Factor

This feeds the skills to your line, where it's harder to get spp later. Just keep your fingers crossed against getting a permanent injury in the 1st game and you should be fine.

Variation 2

  • 2 Blitzers
  • 7 LIne Elves
  • 1 Catcher
  • 1 Thrower
  • 2 Rerolls
  • 9 FF

This is also a nice starting lineup. Try to ensure that you score with someone other than the catcher though.

Variation 3

  • 1 Catcher
  • 1 Blitzer
  • 2 Thrower
  • 7 Line elves
  • 8 FF
  • 3 Rerolls

Throwers are only 10k more expensive than a lineelf , start with pass and there's no good reason not to take two of them, the one less fan factor can easily be off-set by winning your first match , and having a second player with pass to make the crucial throw is better than not .

Variation 4

  • 1 Blitzer
  • 1 Catcher
  • 2 Thrower
  • 7 Line elves
  • 8 FF
  • 2 Rerolls
  • + Apo

With only AV 7 (except for your 1-2 Blitzers), if you're playing against any sort of bashy teams, or are not good at the Blocking game (or just not feeling lucky!), trading in something for an Apo may be a great move. 50k now instead of 60-100k later, and again every game, is a great investment against Casualties, and possibly losing a player off the field at a critical moment.

Variation 5

  • 1 Blitzer
  • 4 Catcher
  • 6 Line elves
  • 8 FF
  • 1 Reroll

"This is a stupid lineup", people say, but they don't see the full picture. You don't need a thrower - he's the first player that the coach will target. Instead, have four catchers and it wont matter if you loose one. They are elves, they don't fumble the ball (1RR) and you got someone who can blitz. Focus your team on your catchers, pick up the ball and throw it to another catcher to get SPP and maybe MVP later on. On a double on skill rolls, take dump off. The rest of the catchers should take pass block. Perfect tactic against passing teams!
