Right then people,

Its about time I did another round of 10 questions and I thought to myself "what league would really help new starters to the site?"

The answer......

The 145 Club, so here goes.

1. So, how did the 145 club come into existence and what criteria is there to join?

I started 145 Club because there were no "junior" or "intermediate" tournaments. If you wanted to play tournaments You had to go in with the black belts straight away. And I was really useless.

The criteria have been relaxed a bit since the A?cademy division started. You need CR 150 or less to join and fairly few games played. I will have a quick look at a coaches record to see if they look a bit too good.

2. There are 4 seperate parts to the group, where should new coaches be starting, or can they just join any?

New coaches are best starting in the Rookie Cup or the Hobbiton Mini League. Those are both TR100 and feature less experienced coaches.

3. What support is offered to the newer members of the site to make them feel at home so to speak?

ShadyGlen? has done a great job breathing life in to our #145 chat channel. Coaches who pop in there will get any help we can give them. And some fun chat too.

4. What kind of game do you play? more bashy or with flair?

I am currently on a Dark Elves trip. Why play anything else? I started with orcs. Played a lot of games with them but really stank. With elves, no matter how badly you play you seem to have a chance of an outrageous play on the last turn to win or tie.

I also like using Flings.

5. How long have you been playing BB and how did you discover Fumbbl?

I'm terrible at dates. I bought 2nd Ed back when it was fairly new. No one was really interested in playing though so I only ever got a few games in. I can't remember what caused me to remember the game and type it into Google in March 2005. That took me to TalkBloodBowl?. TalkBloodBowl? led me here. Been here ever since.

6. Who would you recommend people to play or spec to learn from?

PaulHicks? - Because it's a game. You're meant to enjoy it. "Why so serious?" Any of the top coaches. They're on the first few pages of the "Coach" list.

7. What your most memorable match and why?

Coming back from 0-2 down for a tie with just 4 elves vs a full team of chaos. The FUMBBL Minors 175TR I-2 final. My first official tournament win.

8. Everyone seems to have a nemesis, whos yours?

I don't really have a nemesis. But I'll name: PeteW - because my kids think he's so cool. Melmoth and Rijssiej - Can't get anything out of those guys. PandaPower? - FA Cup Final

9. What is the most unique team you've seen on the site and have you made any "special" teams yourself?

I don't really do much fluff but I do like to add player portraits. I have teams themed after movies and TV shows like Aliens and Hellraiser. My favourites are my Har Ganenth Ladies.

10. And finally, any advice for the newer members of the site?

Play to have fun. Don't let other people dictate how you play. Don't get upset over how other people play. Read and re-read the rookie tips section of the help pages. Re-read the rules. Spec games involving the top coaches and watch their replays (get JBBR at http://www.e411-music.be/static/fbb/jbbreplay2.html) Get experienced coaches to critique your play.
