Double statup worth it?
Now i've got an +ag+ag beastman on my box rotters, but unfortunately he counts for 2,5 rookie beastmen in TS value. means i play in undercount. is he really worth it? i was told so, but i'm not that convinced. and if he is, what skill to take next?

take leap for fun :D

The TS might sounds like alot at low TS, but by the time you get to higher TSs he will be one of the players that can make all the difference.

At 120 TS, the extra 2 rookie beastman might come in handy, but at 180 TS you want every star you can get your paws on, out on that pitch.

Also depends a little on your style of playing.

But AG 5 is gold for leaping, picking up and dodging away...

Strip Ball would be nice.. :)

Never pass up AG5.

AG5 Beastmen are totally awesome. Suddenly you can get the ball in TZs, pass accurately, dodge mostly anywhere if you must...

If you roll a double for next skill, Leap is definetely the most fun skill to take, and also incredibly useful, especially with Horns. For normal skills Block is the best one as it increases his survivability. Sure Hands and Pass Block are both good choices too.

But yes, take AG5 and protect him with your life. He's worth it.

The hardest thing will be keeping that Ag5 Beastman alive on a Rotters team, since a lot of people will look at him and see a perfect foulbait, and you haven't got an Apothecary to keep him (relatively) safe.

But yeah, I agree with everyone else: Take that second +Ag! He'll potentially become an incredibly useful player with the right skills, and until he gets those skills you can always use him as a sort of pseudo-thrower... Picking up the ball and passing it to the people who can score with it. That way he'll save you rerolls (compared to a lower AG player) and help the rest of your team perform better.

In theory, at least.

ag5 leap guard... Lovely way to place him all those places you would like to. Make him a blodger if possible (leap and dodge as the next doubles).

:o)

He will probably age like all the others;) take +ag and have fun :)

Don't think of him as compared to a rookie. Think of him as compared to another 2-skill beastman... he's only worth 25k more than your block/guard guy. And he gives you ballhandling skills, which is pretty crucial for a chaos/Nurgle team... he picks up on a 2+, even in a tackle zone/the rain, and if you need to pass, he does anything up to 7 squares on a 2+ as well. And as people have said, if you can manage to get him leap, he becomes a wardancer-esque cagebreaker. (With horns, no less.) You can deliver a ST4 blitz to any square on the board -- how is that not worth a few extra TR?

Bottom line is, he does a lot of stuff which a team like yours can't normally do. And if it's going to cost you an extra 5 or so TR to have access to those capabilities, well, it's probably worth it. (Good luck keeping him alive...)

ag 5 beastman is worth even more ts - a player like this on a rotters team gives so many possibilities...

block, guard, stripball, surehands or tackle should be normal skills - do not waste a skill on passblock as it doesnt help vs lots of teams (running, caging teams and safe throw teams) and makes it necessary to position him in potential gangfoul territory

leap or dodge for a double (i would go for leap for awesomeness)
