welcome to the home group of Belgian Fumbbl Players!

This Fumbbl-version of the Belgian BloodBowl Federation has the ambition of gathering as much Belgian BloodBowl players as possible, and to offer them a place to get games in, even if they have different IRL leagues and homes. To hat end I'm organising an BBBF Online League!

There's a EuroBowl-section added below, to allow our EuroBowlTeam to get their practice games in.

Rules and Information

The BBBF Online League will always aim at short and decent paced leagues. So should we ever reach a high number of coaches, we'll start working with divisions. Furthermore, deadlines will be set in stone and take max 2 weeks.

Depending on the number of coaches registring, season 1 will most likely be a "single round robin league" (meaning everybody gets to play everybody once, in a fixed order). Later seasons may have divisions departing from the results in this first season.

We stick to NAF-approved teams for the league.

Scoring and tiebreaking
Scoring points are 3/1/0 (W/D/L), and ties broken by head to head result, then net TDs + net CAS, TDs scored, CAS scored, coin toss (in that order).

Playing games
The secret to successful online leagues is getting games played. You might have a fortnight, but if you leave it a week and assume it’ll happen, it won’t. People have real lives. Schedule games ASAP, even if it’s a week or more away. I will forfeit games on deadline without hesitation. Whilst it might seem harsh, if we begin to wait for coaches we know to ‘be cool’, the whole thing loses momentum and ultimately dies. That pressure to get it played needs to be there. Phone, text, e-mail, make an effort early! I'll set up a Whatsapp-group as well.

In anticipation of Eurobowl 2018, I wanted to offer the coaches some options for practice play.

Thanks to SzieberthAdam, there is already a EuroBowl-environment set up on Fumbbl, so I can just point you in that direction:

  • The group (with all the info etc) you'll find here.
  • To make a team that complies with EuroBowl2018 rulings, you can just follow this link.
  • If you register your team to that EuroBowl Training group as well, you'll be able to see (and challenge) other eurobowl teams on fumbbl.

If you give me a sign when you've made your team, i can list them all here and provide links for easy refence and perhaps even feedback from BBBF-members.

As of now I've got no plans for setting up a tournament with these rules, but that might change in the future - perhaps when Abbey Bowl comes around. Should you wish to play a tournament with Eurobowl-rules, I'd recommend PalinkaBowl3. They kick off on march 13th.
