<b>Whats it all about:</b>
The true Goal in the Captains Chase League is to get the opponents team captain off the Pitch!
Block him, foul him, throw rocks at him, backstab him, poison him, distract him, bribe him, get the Ref to put him in the dungeon.. no matter how, if he leaves the pitch, you get extra points!
Every team has to name one captain, who is not from the lineman position of the races roster. This can be a big guy too! The rest of the team has to consist of the linemen postions (0-12 or 0-16 Position on the roster)
If you succeed in getting the opponents captain off the pitch the coach will earn 3 points one time bonus for the game. (A returning KOed captain will NOT provide 3 points every time he is knocked out, but nice idea Culle ;)
A win will provide you 3 points. A draw 1 and loosing 0 points. Yes we want to win, won't we? Or concentrate on the captain...
Certainly this can happen to both coaches, so everyone will earn the extrapoints. If one or both coaches kicked the opponents captains butt successfully, make a short note in the matchreport.
At the start of the match, should a coach not be able to field his non-lineman-captain, the most valuable lineman in the team automatically becomes the new capt for this game.
If the captain will miss the next game, due to a casualty, write down the number and name of the player, who is the interims capt. for the next game.
Certainly you have to field your captain, if you are able to!
At the end of the group phase, the first 4 Teams go into the playoffs for the Captains Chase Cup.
Sudden Captains death:
Special rules for the playoff games is, that the first team which successfully kicks opponents capt. butt will win!
The loosing team has to pass the turns and wait, until the game is over. Yes, this means the winning team may now go and get the ball and score as often as possible until regular game time of 16 turns has passed. After a td, the looser team, can setup but must not move any players. If by chance the ball lands in some unfortunates players arms, it then can be blitzed an stripped of the ball.
Should nobody be able to eject the capt., the normal scoring conditions (Touchdown result) apply.
Make a new L Team to join our ranks.
Apothecary is allowed. If you use the apo on your capt., he counts as being off the pitch though! Even if you changed a KO Result to a Stun Result.
Use of Wizards and Stars is not allowed.
