A reasonably well balanced starting roster. You have 2 Block, and 2 Dodge plus Tackle, and 3 St4 players for good pitch control. While you only have 2 Re-rolls to start off with your decent starting skills and St4 pitch control means 2 Re-rolls is manageable. Just ensure you use your Re-rolls wisely. The other advantage of this starting roster is you nearly have your full positional quota which makes skilling them quickly and you only have 1 Golden Host to buy and another Re-roll.

This is the conservative approach. You start with 3 Re-rolls which is always nice. You only have 2 Block which isn't great Block coverage, so 3 Re-rolls helps there and you have no Sure Hands so picking the ball up with the Jackal Runners may need a Re-roll too. You lose a St4 player in this variation which reduces your pitch control. But the extra Re-roll could make up for this.
