my str4 block gr rolled a double at 51 spp.

what skill or mutation would help him and my team the most?
i am tending to give him claw. but tentacles are tempting too, just fluffwise. spikes or horns could help as well as guard.

claw is very nice on blitzing gutters. but ultimately i think you should just retire him, to save yourself the trouble of choosing |

I'd probably go with Claws, because with 9 movement and block and 4 ST your going to do a lot of blitzing with him. Or at least I would be. Claws will help your cas count and such. I'd take claws. |

Tentacles are usually worthless under ST5, Claw might be nice, but with horns he'd be the king of the pitch. |

claw or RSC is good...you're team is missing a good bruiser atm. If you don't like listening to the "I don't play claw teams" in the lfg, then guard. |

But Jump Up would be very useful too...
Tentacles, for chasing down and capturing those annoying ST2 elf-catchers. They're stuck then, even if you fail to knock em down... |

i would seriously consider horn and make him a big time blitzer.
just imagine a ST5 BG is bullying your catcher high up the field then out of nowhere comes the runner and BAMM!!! the cather is free to recieve the ball and stroll in for the score /cheer |

Not really surre why, nowadays. probably had something to do with being able to blitz from really far away.

Man, and he's not even niggled. I hate you so much.
First of all, don't listen to tentacles being worthless on ST4. Even on ST3 they can mess up a critical play. Especially if you have a lot of them. Tentacles + SideStep makes him GREAT at marking opposing catchers, and won't draw the kind of avoidance that the next best thing, Claw, would.
I still might give him Claw, just because your team is a bit low on the hitting side, and it'll be much easier to keep him on the pitch than a SV, with MA9 and AG4.
But mostly, I really hate you. |

Think of him as a target. If I were trying to harm your gutter (as I'm sure a lot of people would try) the last skills that I would want him to have would be Very Long Legs and/or Spikes. If you stay out of my blitz range, but within your own, then I would be very frustrated. AV8 would really annoy me if I did knock him down.
The other suggestions are equally good, but I've noticed that my best players always get the most attention (negative attention). So I plan for it. |
